about 2 weeks ago i woke up with a sore throat out of no where thought I was just coming down with a cold, a week later things got worse and I caught a real bad fever and finally went to the doctor, ended up having strep throat that looked like it spread up to my mouth. The next day after I went to the doctor I got a sore lump in the back of my mouth. After I did some research on what it might be I did the recommended peroxide mouth wash and I was already on amoxicillin so I thought everything would be ok. Been doing that for a about a week now and the sore in my mouth is killing me! The sore is very loose and I can move it around as if it were a loose tooth. What could it be? Is it something I can take care of myself? I don't have insurance and do not want to make another trip to the doctor unless I really have to. Please reply ASAP, thank you.

Keep in mind sometimes taking antibiotics can lower your immune system. You could have an absess caused by a cavity or a blocked pore seeings your mouth has many.

An Abcess by a tooth is sometimes caused by a cavity and usually is caused by food or other bacteria caught in the gums... Even while taking an antibiotic for one thing does not mean it will help the other... A dentist would be the appropriate doctor for this situation. If not taken care it can worsen and make the tooth worse. It will have to be treated most likely with another antibiotic... Cavity filled or possible tooth extraction. Hope this helps.

Also keep in mind you dont really need your wisdom teeth... A lot of people have them pulled because they cause them problems with their other teeth... And some have theirs because they take the place of previous pulled teeth
