I have had 3 lots of quartezone injections into my scalp on both sides of my head for alopecia over the past 3 months and just this week I noticed a indentation above the injection site. Not only that but I now have protruding veins on my temples. I've only just worked out after a ct scan that there is no fat in that area. I can only assume that this is due to the quaterzone injections. Also the injection have done b****r all for my alopecia. I'm pissed off. Now not only do I still have bald spots but a significant dint above the injection site and also deep creases on the other side of my temple ( which I only noticed this week and thought that they may have been sleep creases) but too much of a coincidence.

Wow... I have a dent on my butt cheek as well! And here I was wondering why.. That stupid cortisone/steroid shot for freaking allergies is the cause of my deformed looking butt cheek! Not one warning or potential risk was disclosed!! I can't believe that it's okay for physicians to not disclose possible reactions. Do medical ethics even exist, or honesty, hell a warning even!
I had my shot about 6 months ago, and I would have NEVER got the injection if I knew I would have this ugly dent, I'm livid! Has anyone's dent gone away with time or got bigger?

I got a B 12 shot on my buttock and a hole formed at the site of the injection about 2 inches around the area. I had to go to the plastic surgeon and have fat taken from one area of my body and injected into the indentation. I just did this once and right away the indentation was gone. Now you can't even tell where the shot was given and this happened many years ago. The plastic surgeon said that sometime this happens with shots. In my case it was B 12 but he said the nurse did not use a good technique and the area where she gave me the shot went into shock and this resulted.

I got a B 12 shot on my buttocks and the fat around it melted leaving me with a big size indentation on my buttock.
I waited a year for the fat to come back but it never did. So I had to do to the plastic surgeon to have fat removed from one site of my body and inserted into the indentation. Right away the hole filled up and now you can't even tell where the hole was. I was worried that this new fat might melt and that I would need to go back a second time for the procedure but once is all it takes. The plastic surgeon told my that this happens at times. The nurse who gave me the shot did not use a good technique and he said that the area around the shot went into shock and my fat melted.

Iv been reading all these comments and I thought I was the only one. I have 1 dimple on my butt cheek and another one on my outer thigh. Iv had them for more than 15years now, I think they developed when I was young after getting vaccines. You can feel a lump inside the one on my butt if you press it down with your finger. The Dr told me that it would get better with age but it just got deeper and it's even visible when I'm wearing tight pants. It's not painful it's just really ugly and embarrassing. I think the only way to get rid of it is fat injections or something?
Do you guys think I should go see a Dr (about the dimples) because I haven't seen one about them.

Thank you.

A steroid shot for a really bad sinus infection on my right glute. 2 months later I noticed a small, wide divot. After some research, I suspected the indent was from the shot. A medical journal suggested a shot of saline solution directly into the indent would help dissolve the remaining steroid crystals causing the atrophy. I contacted the urgent care clinic who had administered the shot. They said in all their years they had never heard of such an issue, and suggested I contact a plastic surgeon... I went to my dermatologist, who also happens to be a cosmetic surgeon and laser specialist, instead. She immediately recognized the issue. I caught mine very early so the typical spotty white discoloration and tissue loss was much less than what she was used to. I had 3 injections of a saline solution in a single sitting for $75 total. The indent did seem to improve, at least, it wasn't getting worse. I had a 2nd series done a month later to speed things along. It's been another 2 months since my last series. I might go in for a 3rd. The indent is much smaller, does not appear to be getting worse, and the white discoloration is gone. It looks mostly like a light perma bruise now, with a very very slight indent. The sensitivity I did have while it was the deepest is now gone. She did tell me it may take 2 or 3 series since it was so early on. I was also told would likely see it get worse before I saw it get better, but without the saline solution it would be much much worse. I'll never opt for a steroid shot again. Just take the oral form.

Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same thing, but mine happened at my place of word. I'm admin, I came to work sick and the physician insisted on me getting a steroid shot and antibiotic and going home.I didn't know the side effects and now almost a year later it's bigger, whiter and uglier than ever

I was told you can do a filler such as radiesse. It lasts 6 months to a year and cost $500-$600.

Sorry but it will get worse. The best thing you can do is see a doctor. This will scarre him and disfigure him. I got this shot when I was a baby and it has gotten alot worse. Speaking as someone who has been living with this for 30 years if you have the money please take him to see a plastic surgeon. This has scarred me for life I've lived with shame, depression and etc but if you have the means please get him help. Your son's happiness is more important.
