I had a doctor use fu5 with vitrase without my knowledge of the steroid to treat a filler nodule, now I have hypopigmentsyion and a big indentation on my cheek. I am so distraught and depressed. I don’t know what to do.

This is so crazy. I have searched everywhere for what my indention could be & I couldn’t find anything. I thought I was the only one. I now have 2 indentions above my butt & they hurt sometimes or it’s very uncomfortable. I have visited my dr then referred me to a dermatologist. He didn’t do anything about it or seem to even care. He said it would go away but I’ve actually had it for a long time now & it’s only gotten worse.

Hello I wanted to know how it went for you ? I’m currently in the same situation

does anyone have any positive news/change then your situation? I, too, am dealing with this. I was not warned of any side effects, my dent is accompanied by pain. If there is anyone out there who has found relief, I would love to hear your story so I can see the light at the end of this tunnel...

Me too! How is this not mentioned by medical staff before administering the shot? I would never have agreed to that. This seriously sounds lawsuit worthy.

I suggest learning about your fascia. Ask yoir doctor 1st for sure but if the doctor has no info about fascia, like most doctors I have been to, then read about the work Ashley Black is doing to help people with fascia problems. Fascia is the connective tissue that holds all our parts together undwr our skin. I have not yet met a doctor that knows how to fix fascia issues. It doesnt need medicine or medical.procedures so doctors do not make money on fascia problems. Fascia can get tight and twisted as our bodies move and what fixes it is the proper type of pain-free massage to relax & smooth it out.

Peggy did you find out why this happened? Has it gotten worse or stayed the same? I’m suffering from the same. I’m afraid its going to continue to spread.

Hi there! Did you ever get help? My sister in law has developed a big dent in her lower back( right above her right butt cheek and it has stretched to her butt) she is experiencing pain and a burning that runs down her leg. Along with lumps around the area. She hasn’t had any injuries and the only shots she’s ever had are birth control shot in her butt and an epidural when she had her baby. Btw she’s had the dent since her first kid was born but the pain and burning sensation recently started.

I have the same exact thing happen to me.
Mine just keeps getting larger.
Now the right side of my butt looks so uneven and I am very insecure. I was hoping it would go away but it just continues to get larger and deeper. It's been a year. I had to have the shot for allergies. Never had a reaction until this last time. I wish I would have never done it.
Never new it was a side affect.

I had steroid injection two weeks ago. I noticed 2 days ago the area is not only bruised but there is a large indention on the upper buttock area. The shot was given at after hours clinic. My GP saw me today and said he had no idea what caused this. This is on my left side and my left foot and ankle have also been swollen and numb. I have no idea what type of doctor I can see who will advise me. The injection site doesn’t hurt but looks terrible with the large dent!! I certainly don’t want to go back to after hours clinic. I’m lost as to what to do.

Had a steroid shot in May for an ear infection. Now I have a divot the size of a half dollar on my upper right buttock and discoloration. I was never told that this could be a side effect. If I had been told wouldn't have let them do the shot. I have read that it could take over a year for it to go away. If doctor's are going to give steroid injections they really need to inform their patients of the side effects, especially when one of the side effects is a deformity. They say that the fat atrophy is rare but seeing as there are many forums with tons of people saying this happened to them doesn't sound rare to me.

My daughter had an social about 2 months ago. She said she noticed a bruise-like spot on the side of her buttocks. Then it turned into a dry patch. Then it turned into a crater. I'd post a pic, but I can't find where to do that.
