I suffer fatigue and exhuastion now and never before, I'm wondering why since I haven't had shots in 7 months.
Any idea why I'm so exhausted because of these shots?

I just had 2 shots 5 days ago and now have fatique and exhaustion which I never had before. I wonder if this is going to be an on going issue. The pain is a little better, but there is still a sharp pain on the L4 L5 vertebrae area. I feel
nauseated and really tired. I wonder why the shots are causing this? Any idea.

Hi, I am sorry you are going through all of this! I can completely relate. I have been suffering a lot of the same things as you! I have been living on Zantac, even though you are only suppose to take it for 2 wks. Although I don't have any answers for you I can sympathize. I wish there was something we could do. I went to a new Dr. explained all of this to him and his way of fixing me? Lets have another ESI. Lower dose. Are you kidding me?!!??!?!? There hs to be somone on here who could HELP us. PLEASE.

I had a work injury 3 years ago. I had the LESI procedure this morning.  It's now 3:12 am and I have insomnia.

Can anyone tell me how long this symptom will last?

Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Everyone gets effected in a different way. Some people walk away with NO side effects. I anticipate that you will develop high energy as well. My symptoms lasted about 6 months. If your having trouble going to sleep you need to contact your doctor.

irishcream12. Thank you very much for your quick response to my questionYes you are correct I have lots of energy i felt like i was bouncing off the walls and since I didn't have pain I did a lot of things around the house. Thinking I would get tired enough to sleep but it didn't work. I have insomnia from Friday @11:00 am when I had the injection to present time Saturday 7:40 am. I will definitely call the doctor today.  Thank you again!

Your more than welcome!  After my last shot I had the same situation.  I did bounce off the walls, LOL.  Anyway watch your appetite, just a warning.  I couldn't stop eating.  I am 5'3" -110 pds and gained like 10 pds in 1 wk.  It was horrible.  I'st off now, thank God but I felt like I was carrying around and innertube!

Keep me posted on what your doc says! Take Care and get some rest.  LOL

I have had two steroid injections for lower back pain that was affecting my nerves and radiating into my feet (already had back surgery three years ago). The dr knows that I can't take prednisone (especially orally) so he said the shots are a different kind of steroid. I have not felt really well since the first shot. My blood pressure shoots up the first few days (even tho I am on HBP meds) and then my head always feels like I am in a fog. I cry easily and I am gaining weight (I need to lose weight!), my face stays flushed for days, and I have trouble concentrating at work and at home to get anything useful done. I was also diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy and I can't take the dugs that they want me to take.

Then a few days ago I had a cortisone injection in my shoulder and that has made my feel even worse than the other shots. It really hurt a lot that first day and night, with the pain from the shot radiating into my feet and arm too.

I didn't know that too much of this stuff could lead to Cushings Syndrome too - I don't need to deal with that too!

Thanks for all the helpful comments that have helped me to decide not to have the third shot. I will just have to deal with all this some other way and feel more like myself. I hope things get better for all of you too!

I can completely sympathize with you! I refuse to get that 3rd shot too!!! NO WAY...ever. You kow your body better than anyone else. I went through the same stuff as you. It's been 6 months and I still have like ulcer symptoms in my stomach that the doctor denies is from the shot. BS!!!! I went to another Dr. for another opinion and he want's me to have that 3rd shot....lower dose. Afraid NOT!!! A few suggestions, are you able to go on FMLA and take time off from work? I would! I haven't worked in over 2 yrs due to my pain, dizziness, lack of sleep, etc. Acupunture really started to help me until my medical insurance decided not to cover it anymore. I wish you luck!

I can't take off work - so far I can still work but I have to be careful how I move my arm and neck so that I don't aggravate it. This is the first day since the cortisone shot that my head has not felt as foggy and my blood pressure has come down. Thanks for the encouragement. Do you know anything about Osteo-Bioflex?

I am so glad to hear there are others out there like me. The year 2010 was when everything came to a head for me. Follows is my life event as it unfolded. I started to see my family doctor the spring of 2010. I had gone in feeling bad and complained about weight gain, puffy face, extreme moodiness, exteme fatique and general achiness. I also had extreme bruising. If I bumped anything I developed blood blister brusing. My doctor at that time chalked it up to just being overweight. At that same time she had left on maternity leave. During her eight week leave things got worse. Now my feet, legs and face were really puffy.(understament )as well as muscle weakness. I had also fallen on my shoulder and tore my rotator cuff in August of 2010. I asked for a shot cortizone to ease my pain until I had my shoulder surgery which was scheduled for Sept 2010. Once I got that shot my cushings took off like a bullet. My family doctor was feeding my cushings with out knowing. My family doctor gave up in Septmber 2010 and sent me to a blood doctor who pegged cushings right away. I went through many blood and urine tests to confirm the diagnosis. During that time with my blood doctor I developed hives, more weight gain,(I could not eat enough) high blood pressure, increase in facial hair, buffalo hump and a blood clot in my leg. I had an MRI to spot the tumor and an operation was slated for December 2010. I had to wait for surgery until the clot was dissolved. December 2010 I had a 7 hour surgery to remove the tumor. It was discovered that I had rupted 2 disks in my neck and needed neck surgery. Neck surgery came March 2011. Still waiting for rotator cuff surgery. Shoulder surgery came July 2011. Three major surgeries in 7 months. Lastly I went through menopause during this time. Here is a recap of my healing progress. The cushings pushed me in to short term diabeties. I developed Fibromyagia as well as chronic back issues. My pain doctor gave me steriod shots in the back for the pain and yes I gained even more weight. I think I gained over 60 pounds. I was now close to 200 pounds. I had 3 three shots total. My pain doctor did a nerve burn a year ago and it has actually held. I take meds for depression and fibromyalia. I also take mobic for pain and immflamation. I lost a great deal of hair from my head but am happy to report it has come back even curly. In the last six months I have been feeling good. I am still overweight and that bothers me. I am always careful not to over due for fear of the pain returning. I could go on forever. I am trying to relieve stress and that will involve some career changes. Hang in there it will get better.
