Well, I've been having stomach problems before school every single day the weird thing is that on weekends I feel completely fine no matter how early or late I get up. I eat fine that I know of and I've been on and off medications such as Zoloft, Prozac, Clonazepam, Lexapro, Ativan, and finally Wellbutrin. I take these medications for Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety disorder, Major depressive disorder, and Generalized anxiety disorder. So far I've been on Wellbutrin for about 3-4 weeks now and it's been doing wonders for my Depression but not so good for my anxiety but I've been having stomach problems every single day of my life since high school. It started off when I was in grade 1 with slight nausea and sensation of someone choking me. Over time I learned that this is Anxiety, what my doctor told me so I stopped worrying about that. In 7th grade I started to get stomach pains every now and then randomly but it wasn't consecuetively until the 8th grade is when it came at me every single day that felt like my stomach was twisting I'd get overwhelmed by pain and I'd start sweating then my feet and hands would become completely frozen and numb I would feel a tinglying sensation but usually I have to go to the bathroom every single day because of diarreah unless I want to feel horrible the whole day. Is there any way of fixing this or having myself helped? I checked a couple of doctors and they said they couldn't find anything and that theyd have to do a blood test and I don't like blood test I freak out and if they find nothing it would have been for no point plus I took a blood test at my Pediatricians office and they confirmed nothing. So I need some help thanks =]
It seems to me that what once started as a pretty regular symptom of school phobia - anxiety that was, in your case, causing abdominal and throat muscles to clench to the limit of pain - became a whole different and separate problem now. First of all, all the medications cant be good for tour GI system, you know that yourself and most of them as a most common side effect have stomach problems, even Wellbutrin. So, they definitely contributed to the problem. It sounds to me like you have developed irritable bowel syndrome - that you need to confirm with your doctor (there are no blood tests for this, so...) which means that your stomach reacts strongly in situations that you see as stressful (which don't have to be stressful at all, for other people).
