In response to the Generalized anxiety disorder/panic attacks, I have those and have been diagnosed with it (currently medicated). Over the years of seeing doctors I also have IBS as well. My stomach and adomnial pains started last spring and as I recall it was a very stressful time in my life and I had to move out of my homes twice in those time so I did a lot of heavy lifting. I figured I pulled something, the burning, dull aching pains got so bad i went to the ER. had blood tests, urine tests, an ultrasound and diagnosed with gastiritis...but everything else came back normal except I found out through the ultra sound I have 2 spleens (accessory spleen) they're harmless. My drs put me on nexium/zantac/tums and a bland easy diet for 8-9 weeks. It got wayyy better after those 8 weeks and I stopped the treatment because I was better .....but now, still to this day, I have the same abdominal pains but they aren't as extreme with the pain. Just annoying and comes and goes. I am self monitoring this condition for the time being and taking a nexium or prilosec when I feel those pains coming on.

Hi, I'm still quite young but I've had all these problems that sound similar to yours. I've had pains for over a year now that started on my left but occasionally move to the right. I have also had a pinching/pins and needles feeling just below my abdomen. I've had many bloodtests, ultrasounds ect but still nothing had been found. My pain is quite bad when I have it, was anything diagnosed with you? Please help

I started having this same problem some time age. I did the regular blood and stool tests but they revealed nothing until I decided to test for hepatitis then i discovered its Hepatitis c that has been causing my health issues, something I did not suspect to be underlying the problem at first. Viral infections can cause a varying degree of problems too. Be wary of chills, diarrhea, headaches, stomach upsets, migraines, fever that last only a few days then disappear on their own. If you experience any of these, don't just go to the doctor, take regular pills, then bounce back to your doing daily routines, they could be warning sings of an underlying problem.

burning sounds like ulcer, ulcer means hpylori bacteria. mastic gum everyday will kill that, some will disagree but it's working for me completely. dgl before meals and aloe juice or cabbage juice or bone broth helps with the pain instantly, don't use tums!

Rob I just started having these pains exactly how you described them. Nothing else so im going to drink some kombucka tea grape flavor. If there is an H Pylori bacteria in my intestines it will kill it. You can you-tube kombucka tea and learn how to make it. You can also try sipping on apple cider vinegar 2 teaspoons in 8oz glass of water if its awful to drink add honey. Hope it works.

Hey guys, I have same pain, also have GAD and panic disorder. I recently had a colonoscopy and the doctor found no abnormalities but did remove polyps (am 27yo. so very unusual), pains started after polyp removal and continue - I am also undergoing medical diet to see if I have food intolerance.

This may help some of you though. My doctor (who is very good and thorough) said If your pain is in one spot, that is more alarming than if it is moving. If it is moving or in different places then it could even just be gas or food your body does not like. If it's in one spot it's a specific organ, which may be a problem. Watch your bowel movements also, if they seem unchanged then your body is probably ok, just working extra hard to move things through right now. If the pains are not bad enough to need painkillers then they're not of massive concern, just keep tabs on them, check with a good/ thorough GP. Perhaps keep a food journal and try and figure out if it's something you're eating, if they come after eating certain things.

Other points made about anxiety are very good too. My bowel usually does play up when my anxiety is worse. My doctor also said that more recent studies have found that there are serotonin receptors in the gut system, so our gut is potentially very linked to emotional well being & vice versa.

Dear all
For the problem you mentioned (random pain around the bellybutton like pins and needles / under the skin / ...etc
please consider hepatic problems, and specially portal hypertension, which needs Doppler ultrasound to be diagnosed

Take care

Thanks Scottf

I finally relieve from my anxiety when I read your comment. I have the same discomfort of pinching and pulling sensation due to my abdominal workout. I have the same experience with Rob but I don't know him if he workout his abs. It was very ironic because I was feeding myself with yogurt and other fermented food to gain probiotic and was so crazy thinking that I could have Small Intestine Bacteria Overgrowth (SIBO) after dosing with a lot of probiotic. I hope and pray it will got by soon.
