Strange Symptoms w/ Dull Ache in Upper Abdomen

I have it too,sharp pain by my sternum,it was under my breast bone and moved.my dr says I have gerds and cochontritis, a inflamation of the rib cage breast bone,it gets in the cartiledge too.the spasms get so bad I scream when I get up,like a knife is sticking me.nothing seems to help.today it restarted by my sternum and upper breast bone.I've tried everything,I just wait it out in pain.

I have those symptoms off and on too. With me it ended up being a trapped air bubble which can be painful. I drinking baking soda mixed in water and can usually belch it up. Try it. That may be all it is.

Have you discovered what this is? I've read about people thinking it's"all in my head" but this is sharp and nauseating pain below my breastbone and it makes me so bloated I look pregnant. Female 19

ANY NEWS ON THIS ??! We sound exactly the same. Multiple doctors visits , endoscopy, allergy tests, ultrasounds, hida scan, blood tests. Nothing. I am desperate.

ANY NEWS ON WHAT THIS IS ?? Same sensation and pains when I wake up it is the worst. I have been tested for Celiac and gpt negative results via biopsy and blood. I am desperately in need of help. This sucks.

Found your post while looking for symptoms my husband is having. Years ago I found out that I also had become allergic to shellfish out of the blue. I had similar symptoms as you and had many tests and bloodwork and they came up with "I had a gall stone and should take out my gall bladder". Still bothered me 6 months later. So because I had travelled south many times my Dr decided to check my liver enzymes and for Hep A,B and C..... 3 weeks later I was called back to Drs office immediately. Was told I had Hep C and probably the reason I was now allergic to shellfish. The liver gets compromised because of the inflammation and can't get rid of the toxins that is in the shell which the meat absorbs. Not to scare you but if you haven't been tested for Hep of any type please do so. there are no symptoms usually. I was never a drug user and always very healthy. So they didn't know where it how I could have contracted it. Had a liver biopsy and found out because I had had it for 30+ years. I then had stage 4 Cirrhosis without ever knowing. devastating news. Long story short, had to go through the horrible interferon treatment for 48 weeks, and never had a drop of alcohol for 7 years. All better now. Hep C gone and my liver totally rejuvenated and 100%. They have figured out I probably contracted it through dentistry, as back then they only used alcohol to clean their instruments as they had no idea there even was a Hep C. I was actually having my wisdom teeth removed when my daughter was 9 months old when I think I contracted it. Now everything is sterilized with steam....the only thing that kills it. So not sure of your age but hep tests are not done as regular blood work. Not sure if this helps you but pass it along to anyone you know over the age of 50. Get tested. :)

Same stuff bout heavy drinking for 20 years. I’m 40.
