Yes....I took my daughter in today ...and the doctor stated that she has a vaginal infection strep A. I was concerned that this is the flesh eating strep and was worried. Need I worry? Is this common? I know women can have strep B before the delivery of a child because I had this. However, I am very concerned for my 3 1/2 yr. old daughter. Could you please give me some more information or tell me where I can find some. Thanks,
Joyce

I am very interested to find out by myself more of this mater. I have reading about this trough the net and I wasn’t able to find out nothing useful. My sister had this infection but she is a normal and grown up woman. She wasn’t pregnant and she got this infection after having sex with a new partner so now I am wondering how it is possible for a child who is 3 and a half years old to get it. What did your doctor said what is the possible cause of the vaginal infection strep A and how did your daughter get it?

My sister was treating her infection by two rounds of antibiotics and after this she was just fine.

What did doctor prescribed for your little girl?

I would appreciate very much answer to this question because there are only few answers about this matter. Thank you in advance.

My girls have all had vaginal strep a. It is actually very common in that age group. Strep a can live in their and our nasal passages. Kids pick their nose and wipe or scractch and transfer the bacteria. It is not the same as flesh eating bacteria. It is like strep throat but down there.
