I see this is an old question, but in case anyone is reading this...I'd like to add some information: another reason you should be glad of more skin down there is that one day when you give birth, that extra skin is what allows you to stretch nice and wide to allow the baby to pass through. Not only that, because the skin itself is very flexible, but I certainly wouldn't want to get rid of any extra skin by shortening the labia. On that same note, even though your body was designed to stretch, there are simple things you can do to keep from tearing anyways, like doing your Kegel exercises and NOT giving birth flat on your back (squatting is ideal, but you can sit down and lean back, putting your legs up in a squatting position. It stretches open your pelvis by another 10 percent anyways.

Hey i actually have been googleing things about this lately and this thread is terriffic just in terms of making me feel normal hahah. I HATE my vagina HATE IT. i'm 17, and i've hated it since the like 6th grade...lol. I'm sorry but I couldn't help but to feel a lot better about myself after reading this. Thank you, however, I find mine different from everyone else's. mine is getting bigger as I grow up and its not just the top part of the lips but like the entire thing. Like the skin or flap thats near the place where urine comes out. And its really so uncomfortable. They're like swollen or something and at for the first day they hurt like a butt and today they're not hurting but they're so itchy and incredibly uncomfortable to sit, walk, or anything. Sometimes i find that if you pull on both of your labia majora at the same time, your labia minor goes in, and you cover the "lips" with the labia majora. this makes it more comfortable, and doesnt rub on your undies. Let me know if this works for you!

Such a relief. I noticed mine stretched after the first time I was fingered and I got really worried. I do find that they shrink after a period of little sexual activity, and seem more prominent just after, for obvious reasons. But so so so pleased there are others like me!! Wow, I am truely amazed at how many woman have the same thing I do. I am 24 and have had this since I was 16. I would really think it was gross or nasty that I had one "lip" bigger then the other one and how it "hangs". It IS very irritating to have to adjust yourself to be comfortable.
