I have venous disease in both legs and after having 2 DVT's in the past 20 years, I have the same feeling in my legs and foot.. It is a warm feeling and it is not a clot. but I would have your circulation checked.  That is what my issue is with my legs and the sensaion in my foot.  I got a good pair of shoes and wear compression socks.   This all helps!

Good luck to all of you!  I am having vein abalation so the blood flows better!

Wish me luck

Sometimes when the feet are tough and calloused they get cracks called fissures. The best thing to cure that is to buff the feet with a foot buffer ( looks like a big emery board on a paddle) after a shower then apply diabetic foot balm or Vaseline and socks for about 2-3 hours around bedtime. The burning sensation however can be cause by several factors: a pressure on a spinal disc or bulging disc, neuropathy, Diabetes, over use. I got it after walking 7 miles daily.

I'm a very healthy 21yo female and like others thought this was a very silly and obscure complaint but I can't deny the warm water-like sensation in the arch of my Left foot began a few weeks ago and had been increasing in frequency up to now twice a day in the 3wks since starting back at uni. I run 10km 5x a week so I'm thinking it could be overuse???

I'm thinking I will try to do more foot stretching exercises during my sedentary time in uni classes. Otherwise, anyone got a suggestion on a specific cream to use?

This is the wierdest medical complaint I've ever come across!

Mine is in my left heel & simply is a brief, immediate warm feeling. It started a few days after I had ear surgery that affected the nerves in that ear.

So I'm pretty young 14 but I had this burning sensation in my right foot at the center of my arch i saw the doctor and he said it was this thing called like plantigosnis and it is where your tendons in your feet are being pressed on by the bones in your feet (prabably cause I have very flat feet) btw I am very healthy and athletic

I have the same issue. In my right foot along the left side of the ball of my foot and big toe. I notice it more often when I am laying down. I am not a do tor but deductionof reasoning can narrow down the cause somewhat. Likely causes are nerve compression. A few people noted they were around 30 and some overweight. I am 33 and over weight. Belly fat puts stress on your lower back and spine. The spine is the nerve center of the body. The nerves are now pulled and stretched. Thus likely causing the warm sensation. Another cause is being over weight impedes blood flow to the extermeties especially. Have you sat down and felt needled due to blood circulation being reduced to your legs. What happens when you adjust? You feel pins or needles and sometimes the warm blood circulating back through the extremties such as your foot. Those are two simply explanations but there could obiviously be many reasons. In short if you are around 30 overweight and have this problem then try to lose weight. Then see if the problem goes away. Easier said than done I know.

I have exactly the same feeling. Like a rush of warm blood underneath my right foot. It's always my right foot and I feel it without any shoes on, sometimes lying on my bed or just sitting down. It has to do with some strange sudden change in circulation why else would I feel this.

My weekly routine is a 30 minute running. Does that have to do with this perhaps?

Female, just turned 29. 5'2" and 140 lbs, so carrying around about 10 lbs of extra weight. I run a 5k about 3 times a week in good, new running shoes, and wear flip flops pretty much exclusively the rest of the time. This started about three days ago for me, 2-3 times a day. It's my right foot, on the outside. I'm pretty flat-footed. I don't have diabetes or any other condition, though about two years ago something went very wrong with the nerves in my left arm (and a little wrong in my right arm) that no doctor ever figured out after extensive testing (it went away on its own after a few months). I have a major fear of blood clots, but also don't want to go to the doctor with just one "silly" symptom and nothing else...

Hey I'm 23 fully fit I'd like to think. Having these strange warming flashes in the arch of my right foot every now and again. Feels nice if anything but just curious what is it as a few people seem to be getting it to

I am 66 years old and began having random hot flashes recently to the side of my right foot near the arch. It began after I had a course of steroids for an unrelated inflamation. At first I thought it was a reaction from the steroids, but it has continued long after I finished the course of medication. I don't wear tight shoes. These foot hot flashes are separate from the normaal menopausal hot flashes I also experience. Evidently none of us experiencing foot hot flashes have found convincing answers to this condition.
