A few days ago I started to feel heat in my left foot. I was wearing slippers and just sitting around the house in my jammies. Than it started to happen again today. I was wearing sandles so I touched my foot to see if it was warm when I felt the heat. It was cold.
I'm not very active, I'm 40 years old, I do take birth control pills, I sit a lot at a computer but I also stand to do my business (Home based parties). I don't smoke but I'm overweight. A year ago I took pills to lose 40 pounds. I also was on extreme low calories. But that was at least 6 months ago. I have since started to eat a lot again and gained back the weight.
I dye my hair. I drink coffee everyday with creamer in it. Not sure if it's splenda or other sweetner.
I'm not really stressed out but I have not been sleeping well lately. Could lack of sleep be it?
Seems weird that it's just the left foot.
Why doesn't someone (a doctor) answer this question? Seems like a lot of people are having this problem.

Im 61, not overweight or diabetic. I just started a couple of days ago with a warming feeling at the bottom of my right foot, not the arch, not the heal, just the ball of my foot. By the time I take my shoe off to investigate it goes away. It doesn't hurt but comes and goes and now more often then at first. I do not run and if I did why not both feet?
Can anyone give us an answer?

I have the same feeling in my RIGHT foot. Not overweight, not diabetic. It happened after I started Pilates. Based on all the responses, it sounds like a fairly common thing. Maybe attributed to a new exercise regime.
