? Early today I started to feel a slight pain in my right armpit. It has now become rather painful and it's hard to raise my arm. I don't see a lump or anything. I do, however feel like maybe I have a slight case of the flu or something coming on. Could there be a connection to the flu?
and the pain in my armpit?
and the pain in my armpit?
Hi abctrs.
Swollen lymph nodes in the neck and armpit area could be signs of underlying bacterial or viral infection, such as flu. So yes, it is possible that this slight case of flu you've mentioned could be responsible for the pain in your armpit. However, this could be also a sign of more serious diseases especially if you experience other symptoms such as tiredness, weight loss or loss of energy, fever, high temperature or excessive sweating, especially during night. These could be signs of flu, but also more serious conditions. Therefore lumps, pain or discomfort in your neck or armpits shouldn't be ignored, and should be taken seriously. If this pain you've described persist for few days or pain become worse, you should visit your doctor right away.
I hope I haven't scared you, but as I said sore or painful armpits with or without lumps could indicate various conditions.

Did you ever figure out what caused the pain in your armpit. I've had a swollen throat the past few days and have been sneezing. I can't tell if it's from allergies or if I'm sick. But all of a sudden I got a sharp pain in my armpit for no reason at all and it hurts when I raise my hand too.
It comes and goes it's not all the time
I am not tired I am eating normal I do exercise
Hi, I'm 29 years old, and I have noticed that my armpit is a little swollen and a little sore. It hurts to raise my arm, but not too bad. I don't feel any lumps. What could this be caused from?
