I have sunken eyes. Symptoms i have noticed that my eyes start to tear when in cold rooms or when i m tired. This results me in having a running nose, which later leads to a headache. Please help. I do sometimes sleep late at night, and i do drink less water. If the solution is to sleep more and drink more water, I wouldn't mind doing it so as long I get a improvement. But anyone else with this similar problem and you have gotten a possible/working solution, please post a reply. Thnx..

I think that the best thing to do is teabags to be honest, because that helps with a lot of the symptoms. Have you tried those at all?

I am a 14 year old girl, and have suffered from "sunken eyes" since i was about 7. im not sure why, i mean, i dont smoke or drink alcohol or do any drugs what so ever (which ive heard usually makes the effect of sunken eyes). ive asked the doctors about it, but they keep telling me to get lots of sleep and drink plenty of water. i drink roughly the daily ammount of water needed, and i have healthy sleeping hours. could there be another reason why i have sunken eyes or because compared to the other comments i have developed this from a very young age, could it maybe just be the effect of me growing up and will fix its self once ive finished puberty?

I was wondering if gaining weight will help with sunken eyes, also with bags.

It's really sad that an MD wrote this. Don't you think that if they were on drugs they would know what is causing the deep eye problem?? Thats why they are asking for normal things they can do.  I have never done drugs, besides weed a few times in high school.  I am now 22 and I have this problem with my eyes.  It sucks having this problem as a woman and I am always afraid people think I am on crack because of my dark eyes.  It has caused me some self hating, and thinking I am ugly. I used to be so pretty and now it looks as though I am a crack head, when I am not. I doubt a doctor wrote this, hopfully are health care personell are a little smarter then this, and dont jump to assume.  Really sad. I avoid things that are bad for my health, like alcohol.  I eat a lot of good foods.  The only thing that I think contributes to this look is my to diet energy drinks I drink every morning.  I think this may be dehydrating me to the point of these damn deep eyes. I also started smoking a year ago when I broke my leg pretty bad. I plan on quitting, but holy c**p it is hard. I think that excersizing may help to. I used to be hella in shape, now I am 150 lbs and 5'5. So I plan on loosing 30 lbs, but when I get skinny, my eyes look even worse.  HEALTH PEOPLE!! IF YOUR TOTALLY HEALTHY AND HAVE WATER AND OXYGEN  FLOWING THROUGH YOUR BODY YOU ARE BOUND TO LOOK GOOD!! That is my goal for the summer.  GOOD LUCK PEOPLE!! And I know a crack head would not be wondering what is causing their sunken eye syndrome....

I have a B12 and iron deficiency, and have noticed that my eyes seem sunken all of a sudden. I wonder if that is related? I am taking supplements and feeling better, but my eyes still look the same.

My left eye has sunken & is noticeable from the right eye. The eye surgeon removed some fluid that was behind my left eye, I think he removed too much. They tried to brush it off, saying as you get older the eyelids naturally droop...this happened right after the surgery. I am looking online for something to fix this.

I'm 31 male, and have sunken eyes since I was 21-22, it is disgusting to me. now and I'm sure there is a  remedy for that odd syndrome; When for the first time I talked to a Dr, she just prescribed me some eye cream for dark circles :), and although I was sure it is sunken eyes not discolorated eye contour , I used that cream and no result... I used to have a very nice looking eyes and face as well and these sunken eyes really made me look a hell(at least to me). I eat lot of fruits ad milk.. especially as long as remember i drink lot of milk every day, and more especificaly around my early 20th I got even more milk ... I wear glasses since I was in high school more or less, although I really had problem seeing what is on the whiteboard  ,.. actuallY i did not wear that since I had heard from my aunt taht it may causes hollowness and sunken eyes(!!!!) but used to wear them more continuously sine that time(21-22) to get ready for my master degree, and that is most suspicious to me, as  a major cause, so usually I try to avoid that, even when I'm teaching .... I'm really frustrated of that syndrome, although except for some f...g useless eye cream I have not been in any directly prescription...

you can resolve your problem by eating your nocturnal emissions to replenish lost fluid and to remedy your 'sunken' look. alternatively by applying your 'lost fluids' after your dream to your eye lids, your eye lids will absorb moisture and leave you with a gorgeous face.

sunken eyes also develop in people who put on spectacles most of the time

Sensitivity to sunlight, tired and depressed are only a few on Lyme Disease symptoms. But be advised if you test for it that only 50% of the time does the test give a positive response to the disease. You have to research it, but it could be a possibility.
