I am 6 months on from same original diagnosis and op. I also got bacterial meningitis and osteomyelitis 9 weeks after opening so had further 2 ops to remove bone flap etc. I then got C diff. 6 months on it feels poorly. Pain and balance are problem. Weakness and fatigue terrible. Just keep being told to be patient etc. Not helpful. I'm a teacher and need to work. I am losing money with no real prognosis or timescale.

I don't know where you heard 8 weeks but my surgeon told me it tak3s about 2 years to fully recover from brain tumor surgery. It hasn't been a year and a half yet and I still have a few lingering effects.

Yes you can keep improving for YEARS. I had a craniotomy 23 years ago and I'm still improving!!! 80% of my were in the first 5-6 years. But I've had slow improvements in the last 10-15 years as well.

Thank you for your story. I has a meningioma removed 3/2016.the size of a lemon. Although its been a little over 2 years I am yet healing. I consider myself blessed. There is a balance problem, some nerve damage on my left side , and a nervous jitter that comes and goes. Does that make sense to anyone else?

hello, I also just had a meningioma removed from orbital. Did you have any proptosis of the eye that the tumor was behind and if so was it resolved after your surgery?

A friend of mine has a tumor in the dorsal aspect of the fourth ventricle. She is probably going to have surgery and I need to know what parts of her body may be affected by this surgery?
