I used to be on Loestrin 24, but I stopped taking them for a month. After the month was up with no BCPs, I got Levlite 28. I took it for a month and a half before I had unprotected sex, and the day after my boyfriend and I did that, I woke up with light cramps and later in the day I experienced some spotting. The morning after the day I had the light brownish spotting [( this morning, today )] there was a TINY bit more brownish blood there from the night before.
I was having minor cramps on and off yesterday, too.
I realize that my symptoms are symptoms that people normally get when they start taking BCPs, but I was worried because it was such a strange coincidence that it happened the day after I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend.
So is it likely that I could be pregnant? I didn't know if the way I stopped and started the pills would make them any less effective or not...

If you were taking the new BCP's correctly, you should be protected. Breakthrough bleeding is common when switching pills, along with symptoms such as cramping, tender breasts, all that jazz. The bleeding is most likely conicidental.... if it were to be "implantation" bleeding, it would have most likely occured 6-14 days after conception, and it usually is more of a light pink color.
Again, you should be protected from the bcp's. The symptoms are most likely from the change in pills.
