I've had unprotected sex once i my life about 3 weeks ago with a girl who I hear has nothing but I'm not sure. I was tested the next week and was negative for everything, recently my left throat gland got very sore and i went to the dr and she perscribed me medication for it. 2 days into the medication my swollen throat stopped but now my glands in my groin and leg are swollen. I've had this swollen gland before about a year ago and my doctor told me it was what happens when fighting infections... basically what I'm asking is am I bugging or are these textbook early symptoms of HIV? Please any help is greatly appreciated!

The only way to be certain is to go and test yourself, but you also can think a little before that, just to calm yourself down, if nothing else. You are negative “for everything”, the girl also is. Yes, the symptoms fit in, but they also fit with hundred other diagnosis. There is nothing wrong in finding information online in situations like yours, but you need to have in mind at all times that you simply don’t have the knowledge of a person who spent years studying the subject. You just keep scaring yourself more and more when there is no need. If you had spent the same amount of time thinking about the fact that one gland shrunk two days after you started taking the medicine it would be a different conclusion. So, if you are scared – and who wouldn’t be, test yourself.
