I recently too just had a baby and I am breastfeeding. I also have an abscessed tooth. Three days ago I woke up with my underarm tender. Now this morning my underarm is swollen. It is tender from the top of my breast and swollen thru the middle of my armpit. And now my right side is now tender. Can this be from my infection or may I have breast abscessed begining?

The thing is if you are experiencing any swelling under your arm, your lymph nodes are probably enlarged. And lymph nodes get enlarged only if there is some kind of infection in the body. Now the problem for you might be that you are breastfeeding right now. This might be cause by the irritation when your baby is feed, but it can also be caused by other stuff. How did your labor go? Did you have any complications and is your baby doing ok? The teeth might be what are causing the swelling. Do you have any pain in the tooth?
Try do find the cause of the infection and your swelling will go away after you treat the infection.
