I am suffering from osteoarthritis for one year exactly. For the therapy , I use synvic injections for the knee. This treatment enables me to move more freely, pain occurs rarely. I am very satisfied with the drug; I can even do my daily exercises without any problems. Can you tell me something about synvic bad side effects?
I have similar experiences with these injections. I have been doing a research on them; I could not find that much info on the bad side effects and doctor told me that it is a medication that acts locally. He mentioned gastrointestinal problems and that it is not recommended for people who have allergies on feather and poultry.
I have permanent nerve damage in my knee, surrounding my knee, down my leg and in my foot, to start off with. I have swelling around my knee cap and in the back of my knee. I have pain in my knee and left leg from when I get up until I go to bed. I am not able to be active like I used to be. I had one injection, and that was on injection too much. The dr. assistant was giving me the injection, it hurt so so bad, I was crying so loudly and begging him to stop, but he wouldn't. I kept on crying out in pain, the pain was horrific, and still was begging him to stop but he would not. He told me he had to put all of the injection in there, I was still begging him to stop through my tears, but he continued anyway. Once he was done, I had a lady friend that went there with me. He told me he would send the dr. in, which he did. I was still crying so hard, I could almost not speak. He told me that none of his other patient's had ever had a reaction to the synvisc injection like I did. He handed me a box of kleenex and told me I could stay in that room as long as I needed to. After 30 minutes, I told my friend that I just wanted to go home, it wasn't because I was feeling any better. I had to hop out of the office on one leg, and went home, I could not put any weight on my leg for a couple of weeks maybe more. I told my dr. on my next appointment which was 3 to 4 months after that , the injection had caused nerve damage and more pain in my knee than before I had that injection.
You should have grabbed him and pushed him away
I can just about copy your words exactly, I had excruciating pain, but like a fool I went back for a second set of injections, and I have never walked on my own since. I went from walking on my own, to a cane, to a walker in less than a month, and all after Synvisc. I wish that I had contacted a lawyer, but I am pretty sure that too much time has passed, I think that this was around 6 years ago. I would do ANYTHING to be able to walk again,
I had a severe reaction to this medication pain and nerve damage. My knee has never been the same, my knee went into a heating flaming , burning sensation. After 1 1/2 yr of agony and now the nerve & pain specialist say that that injection was the cause of it!
I wish we can start a mass tort or class action law suit against this medication!
