Is it normal to all of a sudden have tenderness / pain in the area where the mesh was placed. Could it be the stitches of clips used to hold the mesh?

Hello,

you should have this checked up by a doctor - 3 weeks after the mesh was placed you should be feeling less symptoms since your recovery should be almost over. Pain and tenderness at this point might mean that your body is not reacting well to the mesh, or that there is some inflammation going on, so the best thing you can do is to have a surgeon or at least your physician to check the site where the mesh was placed. You shouldn't be feeling pain - or at least too much pain - from the stitches, so I'd advise you to go on the safe side and make sure there's no infection happening,

Wish you all the best,

Nicole
