May I ask you how long ago this had happened? Personally, I got hit with an arm from a football player smack in the right side of my scrotum. My "nut" disappeared for about a week. On the bright side, it reappeared and was successful in having three of the greatest kids in the world.
If it has completely disappeared for over a week or two, I would advise seeing your doctor. This is not earth shattering, but not a comfortable feeling for a guy.

I've experienced something similar, This morning I've pushed a testical back into myself... I was nervous at first thinking it wouldn't come back down, but it did.
