i've been having the same problem i've had it for as long as i can remember(im 15).My self esteem is really low because of it. I'm scared to tell anyone.. one is more inverted then the other and one is flat and the skin (is what i'm guessing it is) won't come off but you can tell while the other one in the center has it. I tried picking it out but sometimes it bleeds. what should i do!!??

Omg i'm a teenager and going through puberty and the same thing is happening to me. Every half a year, my nipple would harden and then itch like cRAZY before cracking and become very dry. After it would start to peel off during the shower or rubbing against my bra and idk what's happening? I'm too embarrassed to talk to anyone about this and i ~think~ it has something to do with inverted nipples? (i have those too apparently) I really just want to know what's going on ...

Okay, dw because the same thing is happening to me. Don't pick at it because i tried it once and it hurt like hell :/. One of my nipples is inverted and like, there's no nipple??, while the other one is flat. The flat nipple would occasionally harden and crack and then IT STARTS TO COME OFF. when it does, it eventually grows back. I'm 15 as well and it's happened 3 times already in my life. :(( idk what's going on

Don't pick it, don't even touch it. I don't have showers anymore because of the water pressure I have baths. Either don't touch your nipples or very carefully go over them with a soft cloth. I've found it better to keep my breasts clean by going in the bath and putting bath oils in and just not touching them. Be careful with towels too as it can catch. I've had this since puberty and hate it but ive just learned to live with it :(

Hello everyone! I started puberty , gotten my period, no children and I have had the same issue as all of you. I told my mother about it, crying, because it hurt so much. She then took me to the gynecologist, and the gyno told me to get some Vaseline or an off brand version and rub that onto your nipples. It has worked for me! My gyno said it was dried discharge that didn't come all the way out. I hope this works for you.

I would like to recommend all of you to use VITAMIN E oil, I have been using almond oil which is basically vitamin E enriched.Thats what I used in past.

I'm 14 and the same thing is happening to me. I noticed it today and freaked out because breast cancer runs in my family. I put some moisturizing lotion on my nipple and put a bra on. I had noticed I hadn't worn a bra in two days (because summer break is my lazy time). The area around my nipple has been hurting. When I put the lotion on and put a bra on, it stopped hurting so much. I'm still worried though.

Same issue. Have had this for years, but now my left is "making" more than the right. I recently finished chemo and wonder if that could have anything to do with it. Will see my gynecologist soon and am going to have to ask. Gotta love weird problems!!

I commented about putting Vaseline on: I put it on once or twice daily, but now I don't rarely have to anymore! If it hurts I will put it on and it feels fine later. It occasionally would still fall out, but with the Vaseline it wouldn't hurt as much if at all.
