I can get an erection first no problem but once I ejaculate it takes me a long time to get another one again, even more than an hour or more.....why is that? I'm 21 yrs old. Is there anything I can do to decrease the time in between?
hey there guest

i too am 21 and it takes me a while as well. this is just a normal variation on the last phase of the human sexual response cycle.

the refractory period. once a guy ejaculates hormones which destress and relax us like oxytocin prolactin are released. this makes us not "turned on" and unable to get an erection for some time. this time frame ranges from almost immediatly 5-10mins (for thoes lucky guys) after ejaculation to several hours. there isn't anything that i know of to decrease the time of the refractory period. i think some sort of visual or verbal stimulation may help to an extent. if you can master the technique of having an orgasm without ejaculating then there is no refractory period. guys who can master this technique (no not me lol >:( :-( ) can have multiple orgasms like a female because it is only after ejaculation that the prolactin and oxytocin are released. durring orgasms it the pleasure hormones dopamine and seritonin that are released and your erection remains orgasm after orgasm untile you ejaculate.

Does this make sense???? 8)
