I get some tingling, then numbness, then hot minor pain in the top of my right thigh, usually when I lay down to got bed. I was shot in 1990 with a .38 calibre pistol when I was robbed at gun point , in my right thigh. It went through and hit me in the left lower calf. 3 days later, the bullet was rejected out of my calf. There was no bone damage. Just soft tissue. Now, I am starting to have some numbness and hot tingling in my right thigh where I was shot. No ill effects in my calf at all. I have concidered some nerve damage, but, why would it effect me now 20 years later, when back then I had no symptoms, no pain and no numbness? Could it be nerve damage or PAD?

Anytime you have bone damage - breakage, fractures, being SHOT!!! o.O , you WILL suffer from this later on it life! I would hazzard a guess that you have now aquired arthritis in your thigh! I would like you to go to your doctors and have an Xray done! Also if he/she can put you an anti-inflammatory such as Keterolac! This will help with that burning and tingling! Many times - with arthritis - it doesn't really rear it's head TILL you are sedate! Such as sleeping, laying down etc.! Your body is going going going and it is not till you are at rest that it starts healing OR showing signs of damage! In the mean time - before you see your doctor - put cold compresses on the hot spot! Raise your legs, try and massage the area! And use cold instead of warmth! A frozen bag of veg especially peas are the BEST for reducing pain and inflammation! Please let me know what your doctor says OK? Good luck an dhealth!
