Hi all,
I have had these finger blisters most of my life. I am now 35. My dad gets them too. Anyway, I have learned to live with them. They come out every spring and I expect them. I came across this thread while looking up another rash I seemed to get this weekend.
Here is how I deal with it. A doctor might freak if s/he read this, but oh well. 8-|
I pop the little suckers :-S. They itch intensely if I don't. I have had them so bad that I have scars on my fingers from where they clumped up and the area got hard. Each blister is the size of a pin head and I have them right now. After I pop them and squeeze out the serum, I clean off the area and they heal up in a day. I am then left with a small white spot where they had been. Pretty much, by the end of spring and summer, I have a white freckled appearance on my hands. I get them all over, but again, I have had them for a Long Long time. Feet, hands, between fingers, on knuckles, sides of toes, and occasionally on the cheeks. Reading today, I think they are that dyshy ecxema thing. But not herpes, since I have had them since I was a child.

I am glad I am not the only person who gets these. Like one previous person, mine show up with the seasons, usually spring and fall. They don't itch unless I start messing with them. I try not too but sometimes I just can't help it. I do remember the first time I got them. I was in high school and went into a friends jacuzzi and shortly thereafter they started showing up. Not sure if it is related or not. From what I have read, it sounds like they are not related to anything more serious, which is good. But if anyone comes across anything that helps control or get rid of them, please let me know. Thanks.

i was just doing a search because i have this problem too. i have one on my left pinkie it is really tiny and drives me nuts. i haven't paid enough attention to see what the season was or what i was doing before when i get them. i only get one at a time, and sometimes lower on the side of my hand. it is 100 degrees here in AZ and i am an artist, but haven't been working with any mediums lately. i cant believe no one knows what they are!

ME too! They drive me crazy! Sometimes they're blister and sometimes just bumps. They are only on my right fingers and they hurt! Like e1 else they come and go w/no reason. They are often around the nailbed but now I've got one in the middle of my thumb and it hurts to touch anything. I usually can't get anything out of them if i squeeze. Sometimes clear liquid.

I really would like to know what they are and how to get rid of these!!

I have these bumps too. Just started showing up maybe 2 months ago? hard to remember.

I think the only way we can figure out WHY and HOW we are getting these weird bumps is to do a little study on ourselves. there are several people with the exact same problem on here, dating back all the way to 2006.

I'll start by stating my basic situation and what I am exposed to on a regular basis. Hopefully others of out there can do the same and we might start seeing some similarities as to what is causing the red blister-like bumps on our skin/fingers.

I live in Southern CA. I work in a chlorinated pool 5 hours/day as a swim instructor. I started getting these bumps around the same time as I started working in the pool April 1st, 2007. I use Jergens lotion in the morning and sometimes at night (not sure if that might have a high allergin in it). I go to a boxing gym on occasion and I also go to a Gold's gym often (perhaps there is a fungus I'm picking up there?) My bumps occur in the morning when I wake up, mostly on my pinky fingers, my fingers have also started to feel swollen in the mornings as well. The bumps are never itchy, and I never have the desire to pop them or pick at them.

So that's all for now, please share your experiences too so we can get to the bottom of this weird stuff...

I have the same exact thing, little tiny water blisters on my finger tips, palm, sides of my fingers, around the nails and once in a while under the nails and usually in clusters. I started having problems right after I moved to Chicago from a small village in Michigan. I thought I picked up some kind of funk from being in the city and touching everything. It used to be worse, and it comes and goes. I can't get acrylic nails anymore. It's totally freaking me out. I have a tendency to be nervous and bite my nails. I do light office work. I wash my hands constantly. I just keep lotion on my hands always because when they go away they turn into little dry patches of flaky skin. I feel a little better now that I know other people have the same thing.

I'm freaking out, however it's comforting to know other people are going through the same thing. This week they are all over my hands and usually they stay on the finger tips and around the nail. Now they are everywhere on my hands. Sometimes my finger tips get really raw and red. Most of the time the skin flakes off after they have dried up or been popped.

It's on my hands only. Palms, fingers, around the nails. That's it. I have had it for 2 years now and it hasn't spread. It doesn't seem like it "spreads". It just pops up.
