Around 2 month back I torn my frenulum for the first time during sex. Without a doubt there was serve pain and much blood after the incident - it wasn't pleasant as many of you can tell. It did not fully snap but it appears that it split in half almost. Anyway, I ensured to clean the damaged area constantly, allowing it to heal and first engaged in sex once again with my partner about 1 and a half months after the incident. During our first time trying again we took it slow and steady until it split ever so slightly again (2 weeks ago). The same procedure followed with the blood however the pain wasn't too bad. This time the very bottom part of the frenulum was torn slightly. My frenulum is now looking very short and thin and I'm deeply concerned that this is going to happen when I try again, once I believe it's fully healed. Taking a trip to the doctors about it is the last thing on my list and I'd really appreciate some guidance or help in restoring my ability to have sex without these problems occurring.
However, it may take some time for the tissue to heal and for the frenulum to build back up.
If it appears too short and thin, you may need to see a specialist for advice on how to best manage the issue.
Good luck!
