Hey everyone Im new to this website so be easy on me =]. I had a D&C on oct 6th 2010 after I misscarried ( i wasnt ttc). I got on implanon that day. I didnt bleed at all until dec 3rd then I didnt stop bleeding ( period like bleeding) for almost two months after. I hated the implanon. So I had it removed feb 1st becuase it was making me animec. I got on the pill after one week of having it removed becuase im not ttc. I statred puking the day i started taking it so i switched to the nuva ring feb 21st to see if it would help. I also started puking the day I got on it. Ive been light head and dizzy since I took the pill. i went to the doc to see what was up and she drew my blood to see if I was pregnant and it came back negative. I didnt beileve it. I know my body well enough to know something is going on. I took a pregnancy test 3 days later and I got five positives back. So ladies it is very possible to get pregant right away!!! Im at least 3 weeks along. have hope and always listen to you body.

it is def time to get it taken out. it is only meant to be in for the 3 year period. I got the implanon put in 9/14/09 as well and it was removed on 9/12/2011. I was giving specific instructions that it was to be removed at the end of the 3rd year. talk to your healthcare provider if you have not done so already. Right now I am engaged and planning on having another child. I pray that I am able to get pregnant and that this did not cause any harm to my body.

I had my implanon put in when I was 15 and got it taken out about a week ago (I am now 18 so the whole 3 years, well minus 3 weeks), I had my period all the time on the implanon but i took the pill about twice a week which stopped that, and being so young i thought it was best to stay on both the pill and implanon. Since getting it taken out I havent been on any contriseptive, I got my period 2 days after my implanon was taken out. today I took my first pill with it taken out, then a few hours later i had sex, i'm just wondering if you think its possible to get pregnant?
over all I was really happy with my implanon, work 100% and I had no problems, like gaining weight or moody, my sister did though (she is about 27yrs old) and with the little arm pain thing, personally dont worry about it untill it gets worse, i had a few arm pains about 6 throughout the whole 3 years, but they only lasted about 2 minutes.
I hope my story helps. :-)

I only had it in for 3 months beofre I started acting crazy as my husband would say. I ended up in the hospital cause it was making me crazy! I Had it taken out and am feeling great but now have problems with getting prego!!!!!!!!!!

You may find your difficulty is due to your age, at 31 you have passed optimal fertility in your life (between 25-30). Due to that factor it is expected that you will experience some difficulty falling pregnant quickly, maybe consult your doctor about fertility drugs if you have no luck over the coming year. Quote:

about the implanon... its not kept u from getting pregnant.. lol.. here is a little secret.. i got "pregnant" with the implanon in me.. but heres the other secret.. with the implanon in.. it slowly releases progesterone which is what keeps u from getting pregnant.. which is why i am not pregnant now.. its a birth control method used to shut down abortion clinics. the progesteron in the uterus will let the baby/fertilized egg fall out of u while ur on ur period which is while ur cervix is open.. i found this out.. which is why i had mine removed. you can still put out an egg with the implanon ... sperm can still meet the egg.. and form a baby.. but the progesterone WILL NOT let the fertilized egg/baby attach to uterus.  it will just flush out of you. i would truly suggest since i am pregnant and being 2 months off the implanon get on some prenatals u have to help your body b4 it can give you want u want.. REMEMBER U WANTED THE IMPLANON IN.. U SIGNED AND CONSENTED THE DR TO PUT IT IN UR LEFT OR RIGHT ARM. get on some prenatals take care of yourself..

people chose to have the implant as a birth control method . not once was it explain there could be problems in the future , there has been many women in the same situation after having implanon have stopped ovulating , this is a forum for support for people going through the same thing not for someone to come along and beat them all down . why would so many women having all had the implant be experiencing the same problems and why were there law suits against the previous owners and producers of implanon ? and to suggest people arent taking care of themselves is ridiculous . some people need physical interventions or prescriptions and tests from doctors which dont come easily its not about "taking care of yourself" its about getting the physical obsticles sorted e.g no ovulation , blocked tubes etc

really ur with ALL these people to make sure they are takin shots.. the pills. going to dr appts and everything.. so really since i know ur not.. what are u really defending.. bc ur prob defending alot of people who are just screwin to get pregnnat.. too many people have come to me even after ebing told they can not get pregnant.. and i ask em if they are on prenatals.. have they changed their diet and everythign else.. and all say no... within 3 months of so called tryin they are pregnant... and one only has 1 ovary that might work.. so really ur defending to the wrong person... my ex called me cryin bc he couldnt get his WIFE not parter but WIFE pregnant.. bc she couldnt stay off her period.. i told him to tell her get on prenatals and change of diet.. and everything else.. AND THEY ARE 6 MONTHS PREGNANT.. AND IM GUESSIN UR GOING TO CALL THAT A MIRACLE.. AN 18 YR OLD NEEDS TO BE WORRIED ABOUT HAVING A LIFE B4 SETTLING DOWN.. MUCHLESS GOING TO SCHOOL.. IM AN HONEST PERSON.. PEOPLE HATE THAT BUT OH WELL.. I GOT A NURSIN DEGREE UNDER MY BELT AND EVEN THOUGH IM MARRIED.. and 21 yr old.. ive wanted a kid for as long as i can remember.. sometimes waiting is more precious than anything. take it from someone who actually dodged pregnancy bc i was informed it would kill me.. lol REALLY

i for one have changed everything and been through the test this isnt about nutrition its about implanon , being as u didnt mention implanon at all i presume ur ex's wife never had implanon which is the sole subject of the whole feed ! and im not 18 years old im 22 and i have my career so who's judging . basically the point is this is a feed to help and give support for people all in the same situation not to have people come on and beat them and tell them theyre all wrong ! there is evidence to suggest women can stop ovulating after the implant ... people like me who have been through the tests and iv been off the implant for nearly 4 years

@Linda Patterson
Please do take your frustrations someplace else and then come here and talk to women who are going trough the toughest time in their lifes, if you feel like there is something that you can contribute to the conversation (ok, we get the prenatal vitamins idea... but what exactly is "changed their diet and everythign else", to quote you).
Because your negative attitude and plain ignorance when it comes to basic female hormone facts (I don't know - maybe you just feel the need to make us all feel guilty over what you described" happening" to the ferilized eggs on Implanon - fact is that that is the way emergency birth control pills work because they contain VERY HIGH dose of progesterone).
Progesterone is present in most birth control pills, Depo Provera shots, IUDs... and its main mode of action is to stop the ovulation and then to make the uterus lining and mucus more "unwelcoming for the sperm" - so, like the Guest before me said - if you are going to tell everyone that they're wrong, at least do get the hatred out and basic facts straight (some spell checking would also make you not look like a total  ;-|).
Implanon, like all hormone contraceptives stops ovulation. It messes up natural hormonal balance, like most contraceptives. So please.

Hey Ladies,

I just wanted to let you all know that I too had pregnancy symptoms a week after implanon removal. I had the implanon removed after less than a year of insertion, and immediately felt pregnancy symptoms a week later(breast soreness, nausea, fatigue...). I had the implanon removed March 1st 2011, then had brown spotting (old blood) starting the 14th of March until the 21st of March, then the real AF came for about a week.... Here are a breakdown of my periods since having it removed:

March 21-28
April 25-April 30
May 15-21

I currently have had extremely tender nipples for over a week, and no period since May 15. My boyfriend and I have not been using BC, but I have taken 3 HPTs all came back BFN...

Hope this helps!!

Hey Guys!! :-P

I had the Implant put in last April and had it removed last thursday, so i had it over a year, when I first had the implant put in i bleed constantly for a few months before being given a pill to take to stop the bleeding being constant. After a while of taking the pill to regulate the bleeding my periods became really irregular and would go months without having one. My last one was at the start of April.I was just wondering if i'd still be able to get pregnant or not%-)
