Hey ladies,

I got my implanon November 2009 and I just made an appointment to have it taken out September 2012.  My fiance' and I are getting married in September and are eager to start making our family larger.  We currently only have a 3 year old son.  I want a girl so badly!! After reading ALL of the reponses I don't know what to expect when I get it removed.  Our first child was so planned so I can relate to lots of negative pregnancy test.  It was really discouraging but it happened when we least expected it (all naturally) I had never been on any birth control and that pregnancy went VERY smoothly.  I just hope the implanon doesn't interfere with my good pregnancy record lol or our ability to conceive.

Sprinking baby dusts for those wishing like me :-)

I had my implanon put in December 2008. Only negative symptom I had was weight gain. My periods were regular and only lasted 3-4 days. I went in December 2011 to have it removed and the doc couldnt find it. After 4 different office visits, ultrasounds of my arm, and visits to as many clinics as I could find, I was finally able to have it removed yesterday. My husband and I are wanting to have another little one but I am worried because I had it in so long after it should have been taken out. Having read some of your stories Im concerned about how long it might take me to conceive. I wonder if I did any damage to my body by keeping it in there the extra 8 months even though it was not by choice!

Wish me luck and please if any of you have had similar cases let me know!!

Hey ladies! I'm in the same boat! This morning I got my 2nd Implanon removed, Went the full 3 years with the first and a little over a year with the second one. I am trying to conceive as soon as possible, but I'm not sure how long it will take since I just went in this morning. According to the charts - if everything is going normal - I started my period last Monday on the 20th- and am almost finished with it now. I SHOULD be ovulating here in a few days, But I'm not sure if I will ovulate normally or if it will be off track since I just stopped Implanon. Any advice??

I got my implant out today, I am trying for my third baby, my doctor told me as soon as the implant is out you are fertile. It took me 3 months to fall pregnant with my son after i stopped using the pill. I really hope I fall pregnant quicker this time.

Hey everyone. I commented a few people up, just wanted to update. I had my implanon removed on august 27th, so 4 weeks as of now. I, like everyone else here, am trying hard to conceive. I was going to take a pregnancy test today, since today would be the 5th day of being late for my period, but when I woke up I discovered I was spotting :-( its very very light, there was no stains on my panties, just a small light red amount when I wiped.. I'm disappointed because I was really hoping to get pregnant, but have been told it may take a couple months after implanon. Is it possible to have very light spotting in early pregnancy?

just commenting again. Had my implanon removed August 25th. had my first period after removal on my normal day to have it. Im not sure if I should count on having my normal period again but we will find out next week. Hoping not to get one and be pregnant already. Wishful thinking for such a fast conception after removal! Will keep you all posted of my status!!

Yes you can have light spotting. A few years ago I light spotted when I was due and a week later I tested as I thought it was strange it was not heavy as usual and I was pregnant. But it is a bit harder to tell with implann as a lot of women get light spotting xxx

Hi,

i had my implant removed on 20/08/12 and then came on my period on 24/08/12. I am now currently 10 days late from my next period. I have done about 7 hpt but they have all come back negative, i have sore abdonomal pains, but dont have sore boobs. Feel a little weezy and tired but that is about it. Do you think i could be late because i have had the implant out? or does it go back to normal as i have already had a period since removal?

I had the implanon in for around a yr after having 3 children It caused bad mood swings and crying all the time after it was removed it took 2yrs to have my next son in 2005 and I have not been able to fall pregnant since and it is now 2012 I also no some one else that has not been able to fall pregnant after its removal... My periods only last 3 days now and while on it I had constant spotting every day I really do not recommend it
