Ok so I had what i thought was a period about a week in a half to two weeks ago. I had thought i was pregnant before that and took a test and it came out positive, but was very light. Anyways so i had what i thought was a period. well here it is two weeks later and i still have spotting which is sometimes pink and sometimes brown. I took another pregnancy test and this time it came up positive very distinctly and right away. My doctor's office policy is you have to be at least 8 weeks before they will see you. I ask what kind of c**p is that? I know there are procedures and stuff, but come on. I don't want to have to wait for two months to find out what is going on. I want to know now. Why do they put us through the torture and make us wait? I have to go two months not knowing whether to feel excited or sad because i don't know the status of my pregnancy is. I just think policies should be changed. I have had a pregnancy with spotting before and it turned out i miscarried my son's twin early in the pregancy, but carried my son to term and my other pregnancy with spotting turned out to be a full miscarriage. I don't know what to think or feel. i have such mixed emotions. Has anyone else gone through this?

HCG levels peak at about 8-10 weeks of pregnancy and then decline, remaining at lower levels for the rest of the pregnancy. That would be why, at 7 months of pregnancy it didnt show up on your HPT.

I have taken 5 pregnancy tests so far. The first 3 were positive. I then got my "period" but it wasn't as heavy as it usually is; it wasn't as long as it usually is; I didn't have the symptoms I have the week before my period (normally I get a queasy stomach and then a week later I start and have a stomach-achey feeling the whole time I am on my period). Now I have had 2 negative pregnancy tests. Next week I have a Dr.'s appointment to let me know why I got those results and if I miscarried or if I am still pregnant and the bleeding was just implantation or breakthrough bleeding or whatever. Help! I am going out of my mind wondering what's going on with me.

i have taken 5 home pregnancy tes all were positive, i went to the doctor and took a blood test, it was nagative, then a few days latter the doctor asked me to come back so i did they did a urin test it came back negative. i am sure i am pregnant as this is my second time around i already know what it feels like to be pregnant, however the test at the doctors just arnt showing it. i am going in for an exam in a few days so hopefully they will see that i am pregnant, but i feel crazy right now i dont see how five diffent home pregnancy test could be wrong i bout diffent brands from diffrent stores. i personally dont trust the doctors office it is a big lab with lots of women coming in for pregnancy test and it could be very easy for them to mix them up, or for a lab teck not to read the results correctly. neways i just want all of you to know that i feel for you and i hope it all works out for all of us.

In the last 4 days, I took 3 HPT (different brands and one was digital) and got positive on all 3! Yesterday I took the doctor blood test (HCG QUALITATIVE one) and it came back negative. The only possible pregnancy symptoms I've had are late period and daily headaches.
It is kind of disappointing, but more scary than anything because now I am wondering if something is wrong with me. I'm not on any medication. The only thing I've been taking is 1 prenatal pill/day. But I don't think that will create HCG (???).

If this is any help to anyone. I am in the medical field and see this all the time. We as women know our bodies and we have to wait patiently and time will tell. I know that is easier said than done. I have a 13 year old daughter that I treasure more than the world I've always educated her with the truth about sex and disease but I can only educate her. She made her own choice to have unprotected sex and now their maybe a baby on the way. I'd say we've ran at least 10 home pregnancy tests and all negative. She had a blood test all negative. But the signs are their nausea, bloating, no period for three months, shes growing from her belly region and even sits like shes pregnant now. She doesn't realize this. But after 4 kids mom knows the signs. Only time will tell and we will wait.Tests are not 100%. Another test to be aware of is ordered by a physician its called a Quantitative blood test it measures the amount of HcG hormone in your blood its more accurate than a regular blood pregnancy test. Hope Any of this is helpful to someone.

I also know the feeling so weird i have had two children and i know my body well. I had my iud removed about two months ago so my period was due about 2 weeks ago took 3 preg test all positve very sore breast and even notice a diff in size. I started spotting freaked me out went to dr and guess what neg test she sent me for blood test also neg then ultra sound lady said she seen a sac but no baby. Dr called and told me i was not pregnant but got my period It was a false pregnancy very strange and confusing. I dont know if i miscarried or if i really wasnt pregnant to begin with. Just so confused.....

There's a lot of factors it seem that go into the different test. My fiance took a test 6 days ago...and nothing. She used the second one yesterday, and it came back positive. Today...she had a blood test done and it was inconclusive. Her levels were at 27. The doctor "guessed" she wasn't pregnant, but he also said she would be past 4 weeks at this point, which is impossible as she wouldn't have even ovulated at that point. At most, we've estimated that she's been "pregnant" for 7 to 14 days at most (probably closer to 7). So...we're thinking her levels are actually in line w/ a new pregnancy vs. a 4+ week one were the levels (by doctor's office standards) would be 40-6,000. Online, it showed it as low as 8. We're planning on waiting a few more days...and if her cycle doesn't hit, then we'll do another home test again to "confirm" the first result...then a blood test to follow and see if the hormone levels have doubled every two days like they're supposed to at this point. But...like others on here....very confusing. Though, not surprising. Our first child barely even made it to six months before being born premature (and is ok). One couldn't wait to get out....the other seems to be acting as if "he" is running covert ops in my fiance's uterus.

My husband just got back from Iraq on the 24 of October. My ovulation dates were from the 23 to the 28 of October. Just for the hell of it I bought the First Response results 6 days before your missed period. Well test #1 POSTIVE.. Just to be safe I took another one that following morning, test #2 POSITIVE! So I make an appointment with my doctor to take a test & it came back Negative. I go and buy 2 more tests, take one at night #3 POSITIVE, mtook one the next morning #4 POSITIVE.. I called the doctors back & requested a blood test. Get the blood test done and that comes back NEGATIVE! I am 2 days late for me period & Ive never had a positive pregnancy test when I WASNT pregnant. I am soooo confused.! Is it possible that I am pregnant but its just not showing up in a blood test yet or is it possible to have 4 false positives. I feel like Im crazy!

I am 20 yrs old fairly health have a 2 yrs old and 4yr old already and having questions that my Dr.s seam to not want to answer, I guess they feel it isn't important to them. Okay heres my situation. I got a uti and went to hospital for antibiotics, the antibiotics made me sick and cause my liver enzymes to spike real high. Well while they were running test on my urine they found i was pregnant. Well they couldn't find why the antibiotics had done that to my liver so they wanted to run blood test. they took my blood and a few hours later after the results got back the Dr. came in and said I had a HCG level of 2% so it was a negative I wasn't pregnant, to my surprise. I have all the symptoms of being pregnant. I have had two pregnancy's so I know how my body acts while pregnant. I have all the signs, nauseous, with no vomiting, fatigue, full breast, no tenderness, etc. The only thing is the test were taken on the 9th and I just had a period on the 24th. and I believe thats why the Dr.'s just dismissed it and said i was not pregnant end of story but, I don't believe it is end of story. So is there anyone out there that has had a child after having a blood test show negative? Can anyone give me any advice? have and input?

My wife Elizabeth has been having trouble getting a positive result. We have taken many home tests and 2 blood tests and all of them came back negative. Her stomach keeps getting larger, we can hear a heartbeat, she feels movement and kicking and i can feel the kicking too. ( I was kicked in the head, lol.) She is also lactating. We went to the Woman's Center today and they took a urine test and it came back negative and then we went to the E.R. to confirm and they took a blood and urine test and both came back negative. We have no idea what is going on. We hope she is pregnant. She has 3 kids already and knows what it feels like to be pregnant and she says she is pregnant and I agree with her, but we can not get assistance to get her some prenatal care if we can not get a positive result. Is there anyone who can give us some advice please?
