It seems that your son is suffering from the same thing as my nephew and that is UTI. Symptoms of UTI in his case started with slight burning while urination. But the urologist has informed us that is possible that there are no symptoms at all. In children who are only a few years old like your son and my nephew the signs of a UTI may not be clear because they cannot express exactly how they feel and this is what is annoying for the urologist and maybe the main reason for what you think that your urologist has blew you off.

It would be wise to seek second opinion if you are still suspecting that UTI is diagnosis and you are afraid that your urologist is going to act the same way.
