I have the Mirena IUD as birth control. I have had it in for 6 yrs. now. Here in the last couple weeks my breasts have been extremely tender. Could I be pregnant, or is it because the 5 years are up on the IUD, or is it because I am almost 30 and my hormones are changing??? What is going on??? Thanks ?

I have had mirena in for a little over 4 years and have had sore breast for over a year. I am not sure if maybe this is because it is getting close to the time to remove it or because I am also almost 30. Just wanted you to know I have experienced the same symptoms.
