You're all not alone. I have this too. I read articles on how there's no proof on this but the fact that we all suffer from it must mean there's some merit.

I have been experiencing the same thing for many years. I am just having it now, i was exposed to the wind yesterday and couldn't sleep the whole night due to cramps. Doctors cannot find any solution for it, so I just use hot pads and that relaxes me and the cramps after a couple of hours before the pain returns again.

This is the only thing on here that makes sense. I am Lebanese and my mother always dressed me in at least four layers of clothing no matter the season. Tights that cover my abdomen and pants over them. And then a singlet and a t-shirt before my actual long-sleeved shirt and a hoodie over that. All the kids in the middle east are used to this in the cooler temp.

I am 28 now and she still asks me if I'm wearing a singlet under whatever it is I'm wearing. No matter the season. My stomach has been trained to be a complete p***y if it gets even the tiniest bit cold. I can't even walk on tile floor without socks on or off to the bathroom I go. I dated a guy who wouldn't believe me when I'd tell him I get sick when we eat at restaurants that have the AC cranking. He thought I was making it up and that being cold can't possibly affect my stomach like that and it goes against science blah blah blah.

I am just awake because of the same problem guys. I had a nice dinner with my parents in law and their house has air conditioner and it's always on even when outside it nice.
This is when my mum would tell me to wear an extra jumper and I've noticed when I had appropriate clothes on this wouldn't happen.
So I woke up at night with severe stomach pain tonight. It hasn't been so bad after I took some pills for gastroenteritis prescribed by my doctor.
I have done a genetic test and I have fmf so I bare everything on it. But saying so , again, the main problem is that I don't wear warm clothes when I am supposed to. If there is such a problem I always need to be alert.
Anyway, I took paracetamol 500mg and omeprazol and the pain is not so bad now.

I have this problem also. When I feel colder air around my stomach, I immediately get stomach cramps and diarrheia, and that can last for about an hour, and sometimes even more (until i get everything out). It feels really frustrating. I cannot travel anywhere without probiotics.

I also have same issue! Drinking lots and lots and lots of water throughout the day helps me a lot I have been drinking a lot of water (I use a slice of lemon and a peac of fresh ginger in my water bottle it helps as well) and it kind of slowed down dramatically. But lately I have not been drinking water much because it's too cold here and I started having the pain again! My goal is to drink minimum 40oz of water a day. So my best guess is it might be caused by dry bowl movements. Our intestines not having enough water to move the food we eat. Please try it and see if it helps. Let me know if it does or if it doesn't, I want to know if I am right. Second possibility is having a fatty liver, to know this you have to do an ultrasound test. If you have a protruding belly you are more likely to have a fatty liver. The best part is our liver can rejuvenate itself if we eat healthy and exercise and by avoiding alcoholic drinks.

Hi, I get what you mean. I too of course googled away as I finally took the time to find out what this was all about:
- temperature sensitivity, especially getting cold easily
- getting the 'runs' when getting out of a warm shower and feeling the fan (I live in the tropics so often I shower with cool/luke warm water
- feeling off and tired after like you can feel exhausted after a big cry
- cold feet and easily cramps during yoga for example (yes I take magnesium, that is not the issue I believe)
- not being able to sleep without at least my abdomen covered
- not capable of bearing a fan blowing straight onto me and no way airconditioners (I go outside in the heat and humidity to 'defrost' and my body can relax)
- but also: feeling nausea in a bath that is too warm

And yet, very few that respond or relay things tried. May I suggest you start a Facebook group? If you can post the title here I will follow. You can create threads and ask people to stick to them: your symptoms, your triggers, your effective solutions etc. You could actually quite easily create a poll to measure how many people get what symptoms.

Keeping warm is a great solution. A tad challenging when living in the tropics at times as it is cool we seek however not with any movement in the air for me please.
Mint tea actually upsets my tummy, I love mint but if I smell mint tea my intestines start rumbling in warning.

Some answers to your questions: I am blood type A positive. Weigh 55kg and am 1.63m, slim but not skinny. Born and raised in the Netherlands (4 seasons). As long as I can remember I drink water at room temperature only and tea luke not hot. I prefer not cold/freezing foods at all times, I like moderate temps in all regards really, also the ocean for swimming for example.

I will sign up to receive notifications but please consider another form. Reading through 10 pages of this took a while... it is impossible to seek for solutions only. Thank you :)

YOU NEED TO SEE AN ACTUAL ACUPUNCTURIST/CHINESE MEDICINE PRACTIONER.
You must treat the cause and if you dont, you'll have to deal with brewing a cup of tea when you are in your worst pain. Plus other problems will be going on under the surface. Be sure to keep your KIDNEYS warm until you get fixed up. It is probably not going to be a quick fix.
You probably have some form of IBS, or you may have some organ issues. Your liver/gallbladder/kidneys/pancreas may be seizing up with cold temps, almost like a foot cramp but temperature sensitive.

Please move beyond "ginger tea". You need to actually get healing. Be wary of naturopaths and western MDs. Go to a well reviewed and accredited Acupuncturist who will be able to check your eyes, tongue and pulse. They can help you out with herbs for a Jumpstart in healing, but if you decided to commit, they can guide you to whole healing. But it is not going to be a quick fix. Sorry. You need to deal with it now but keeping warm (especially your kidney area) and avoiding food late at night. But since you are sensitive, it's indicative of area larger problem.
Please make long term health a priority, and if money is short, talk to the physical personally. Find someone understanding, who might accept volunteering or trade as payment. A true Chinese medical doctor knows how to help any patient, not matter the situation.
Also, get more minerals. By your bedside or in the bathroom, keep a bottle of "Concentrate liquid minerals". They are bitter. When you feel sick, let a few drops hit your tongue. Bitter, mineraly foods help.

And heal your thyroid! Your hormones are probably out of whack!

- 28 yr old skinny American female with IBS, irregular periods and adrenal fatigue.

It doesn't go against science. See my post below and chinese medicine. People who don't understand how to be scientific often use their bad science to push others around. Or they look at the bad alternatives and lose hope looking for good alternatives. It is sad.

Eat more saturated fats and less carbs and you will lose weight fast. The is what Paleo diet people do. Paleo is unsustainable in my opinion, but a good way to lose weight.
