Hiya, I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant, suffered 2 previous miscarriages.
I have been experiencing really uncomfortable pain in the side that my womb lies, has anyone else experienced this? i can feel that the baby is not lying in my right side at all but i've been unable to stand or sit up straight for more than 15 minutes at a time. Any advice or previous experiences would be much appreciated

I too have a UU. My first was conceived within 6 weeks of stopping bcps. Carried him to 30 weeks that's when the abnormality was found. 7 years later off the pill about 8 weeks and conceived again. Miscarriage at 8 weeks. 2 months later conceived again, I was placed on procardia 4 times a day, bed rest, and progesterone injections weekly. I carried him to 38 weeks. 1st kid was footling breech with c section. The second was in perfect position and was a VBAC.

I am a 30 year old Australian woman with right side UU, left tube deformed and I have both kidneys. I have two children aged 8 and 5 who are perfectly healthy and am 27 weeks pregnant with number 3.
My first pregnancy took over 2 years to conceive, he was born 6lb 7oz at 39 weeks. I had a spontaneous vaginal birth with no complications.
Second was a surprise one time only occurrence which shocked myself and then husband. I had a smooth pregnancy until 33 weeks when my mother died and I picked up gastro from the hospital. I became dehydrated which triggered contractions and dilated to 4cm. He ended up hanging in there until 36 weeks where he was born as spontaneous vaginal birth with no complications. We left the hospital same day he was born. 7lb 2oz.
This third took almost 2 years to conceive and is currently frank breech so there is a little concern he/she will run out of room before being able to spin head down. Plenty of growth scans and monitoring and hoping. Due december 2017 so only time will tell if i can deliver at full term, vaginally or if c-section required. If Obstetrician agrees it is safe enough to do so, I may attempt vaginal frank breech birth

Hi, I am 27 and found out that I have a UU because I was having really weird periods. My husband and I still were wanting to have a baby, and said we will keep trying til it happened. We used an ovulation kit and preseed, and we got pregnant the 1st try(I also kept my legs in the air for 10 minutes). Now I am currently 31 weeks pregnant with our baby boy- but also feeling pain when he moves. I love the movements but I feel like I get a UTI or will pee myself when he jumps on my bladder, it hurts so bad. He loves to burrow in my right side and he is growing well. At exactly 28 weeks, he was measuring almost 30 weeks. So anyone with a UU, keep trying, I know how much it sucks to not get the positive tests after trying for so long, as I tried with an ex of mine for a few years and never understood why nothing happened. I have never miscarried either, so just because it might happen to others with a UU, it is not guaranteed to happen to you. Don't give up, you might just need a little extra help, but it CAN happen to you!

Hi all! I want to share my weird experience with you...
I’ve discover today that I have UU.
I am 39 years old, I have 2 healthy kids (8-10 years old) with natural deliveries. I have been used MirenaIUD for the las 5 years, and it was time to replace it. My ginec saw something polyp-like and decide to remove it with Hysteroscopy. Then she realize I have UU, instead of polyp.
I was totaly shocked after been treated by 10 different ginec in my life, had no problem to get pregnant and have follow regularly my check ups.
But now, after reading more, I have have tons of syntompt in front of me. Terrible menstruations (flow & pain) since a was 11, two miscarriages (before week 5), small babies (1,300kgs & 1,500kgs) both born at 38 weeks but healthy, old placenta syndrome, IUD position low and many urine infections.
I dont want to have more babies, but I guess I will start to check for kidneys malformations.
I am very happy to found out all about this after having them with me. But still shocked. Very happy to have found these well detailed and described experiences of all of you.
Here is a unconscious double success case for you to not lose hope, because is totaly posible.
Thank you all for sharing

I didn't know I had a UU until my c section. I had my daughter at 35 weeks and 5 days. She was 6lbs 12oz and healthy we went home as usual. I did have bp problems towards the end of my pregnancy and she was frank breech. My water broke at 35 and 5 with her. April 2016 I got pregnant with my son I had zero complications I had him at 39 weeks and he was 9lbs 7oz! Before my daughter I was pregnant with twins and lost them at 8 weeks. That's a total of 3 pregnancies with my funky uterus! It will happen don't give up!

My husband and I were 31 and 30 when we started trying to conceive. It took about 1.5 years to conceive (naturally, doing monthly USs to confirm I was ovulating on the left, correct side). The doctor had me use vaginal progesterone pills from the time of ovulation through the first (I think) 12 weeks of pregnancy. After an HSG confirmed my UU (L-sided, non-communicating, both kidneys present) after about 9 months of TTC, the information we found online honestly terrified us - you google UU and the first thing you see is poor reproductive outcomes.... anyway, flash forward and I’m currently 33 weeks + 3 days pregnant with a healthy boy. They monitored my cervical length closely throughout the pregnancy and have also been checking my level of amniotic fluid to make sure he has enough space to grow. Another thing they’re following is the flow of blood/nutrients from the placenta to fetus and all has been normal. He’s head down and we’re gearing up for what we hope will be a vaginal delivery. Really, hang in there. We went through so much grief with the UU diagnosis and my pregnancy hasn’t been more “complicated” than that of many other friends - so many other less-scary sounding and more common complications (ie preeclampsia, etc) can be far more of a problem. It is possible to get pregnant with UU, it may simply take longer. Don’t give up.
