Unpleasant Vaginal odor, could it be my IUD?

I have takin mines out a couple weeks ago. And the smell is not as bad but I am not as fresh as i was before. Does anyone have a soultion? Please let me know. I smell like urine kinda and idk it's just a wierd smell. I never smelled like this prior to getting the iud. Please let me know if there is something I can do to get back to the way I was.

I hate that we all have this this problem, but at the same time, I'm so glad that it's not just me!I was just diagnosed within the last two weeks with HPV and found out I have precancerous cells. I've had this smell for months, so when researching if it could be the HPV causing the smell, I found out it wouldn't be. Instead it would be "invasive cancer" because HPV and precancerous cells don't have an odor symptom.Finding out that more than likely it's actually my IUD causing the odor has calmed me down significantly!

I hope we can all find a cure for this nasty smell. It's so embarrasing to have people in my personal space because I'm worried they notice what I am noticing. I'm assuming it's because the way an IUD works is mucus builds up that basically prevents seman to come through to fertilize the egg. I'm thinking maybe that stupid mucus is what is so smelly!

I have had the Copper IUD for about 5 years now and it is no different. The smell is fatal. I teach, which causes me to sweat, and I am constantly self conscious that my students can smell me. The sweating just increases the already present odor. I also like to exercise, but have to shower right away, and my clothes are deathly. Does anyone know NATURAL remedies to combat this robust stink?!"?!?

I am having the same issue I have been tested 3 times for bacterial vaginitis and stis and all clear and the smell is like an infection smell u get when a cut is infected so I think it's the coil causing it

I have my Copper IUD for 5 years. 6 months ago I notice a foul smell down there, it's not a fishy odor, it's like a rusty smell, and i'm having a excessive vaginal discharge that every single day i need to use a pantyliner. I even accused my husband that he's cheating on me! Haha. I feel like i'm so dirty even after i take a bath. Even our sex life is not as exciting as before. And then i found this site and thank God i'm not alone!! Just last monday May 18 i've decided to removed my IUD, and guess what? nasty smell and excessive vaginal discharge is gone!! Yehey! i feel si fresh now!

I am so relieved to find out that i am not the only woman dealing with this obnoxious odor. I have never had an issue of vaginal odor in my life but i had the Mirana put in and when my menstrual cycle came within 2 weeks of insertion, the smell made me sick. The first time i caught the smell was in my car and began looking under the seats thinking i had forgotten some food and it was rotting in the car only to find that it was me. I dont want to remove the IUD because the pills make me sick so what do i do for the odor? Basically if i cant find a remedy, i wont need the IUD because i won't be sleeping with anyone with this embarrassing odor hanging around. Please give me a solution!!

Omg! I've been on mirena iud for two years almost 3 and I have that same smell!!! I went to get checked and no I didn't have any bacterial infection or bv but the smell is there I eat clean u excercise and u drink a lot of water and still have it in pretty sure it is the iud even tho the dr said it can't be but that's the only thing u did different I love the way it works but I hate the smell that comes with it and I'm only thinking it's because most of us do not get our period on it and having a period monthly is a natural thing for our body to do to cleanse itself, thinking, have been thinking about taking it out not 100% sure tho cause I don't like the pill or shot smh ....

Has anyone else experienced this scenario: I've had my mirena for almost 4 years. In the last year I've been to 4 different doctors. I have been tested for everything from aids to stds to regular infections. They tell me I'm fine and nothing is wrong. But it started when I have sex. I have only been with my fiance and his penis will literally smell like manure when we are done. It's really awful and embarrassing even with him. Also I have the symptoms of uti pretty much all the time. Recently I have been experiencing severe lower back pain. I have had ultrasounds of my kidneys bloodwook the works with no answers. I think it must be my mirena. I have loved it up until about a year ago. Anyone have any advice?!

Don't get the copper IUD. I've had mine for over a year and the smell is awful. It's not an infection. It's the IUD. I waited to see if my body would adjust but it has only gotten worse.

I have the same issue. 6 months ago I placed iud in and my dr. said my body has to get used to it but it's been 6 months already. I don't know what to do since I've exhaust every possible birth control option.
