Last summer I got what I assumed was a UTI (all typical symptoms). I went and got a script and we didn't run a test as I'd had one before. The pills didnt alleviate the symptoms so she prescribed a much stronger medication. This one irritated my kidneys but still didnt totally take away the symptoms. Running low on money I chose to just try to ride it out, confident that I'd had two doses of medication. Well here I am a year later and I feel like I'm still living with it. The UTI feelings come back weekly, but will subside or ease for a week or two. I constantly have to urinate. I do try to stay hydrated and this could add to my need to pee, but the sense of urgency to pee is pretty intense after a while. It can wake me up at night. I'm losing my mind! Can someone please give me some insight? I can't deal with this anymore! I'm tired of constantly having to pee.

Hi Sally, I know you are a pretty smart gal, I've seen your responses with mine plenty of times.  Why have you not got back to the doctor in this last year if you are still having these symptoms?  Have you tried any natural ways to try to beat it?  Go to a smallish vitamin store and ask for the manager/someone knowledgeable and ask what they recommend for your symptoms and length of time, try that before going back on antibiotics.  Also, do you do probiotics?  This will strengthen not only your immune system but that includes your UTI as well, so think about giving that a go.

Hope this helps
