Over 4 months ago I started having urinating frequency increase. I had tests for UTI's & STI's. Before I was diagnosed I self perscribed penicillin as it took ages b4 being diagnosed, a sample was sent to lab before it was detected. Results of the urine sample came back with Ecoli. I was treated with a 7 day course trimethoprim. Then I had a course of Augmentin from A&E doctor because symptoms persisted even though next test came back clear. All other tests came back clear. Now still 4 months on, I'm still experiencing not feelin well although frequency is back to normal. I have a constant pulsating feeling(upper body), fast heart beat, floating & pale stools, inflamation/dull aches/pains under arms, fatigue & sometimes hot flushes in my face. I have had lots of blood tests all coming back clear. I spent a week in hospital & also had a colonoscopy which was fine. I was also tested for Glandular fever & Hiv which were also fine.
Please respond to what you may think has caused this as I'm going out of my mind.
Have you been tested for thyroid problems at all?

The fast heartbeat, and fluching can be caused by this... I am going to look in some of my med books to see what else could possibly cause symptoms similar to yours =) That way you will at elast have some ideas, instead of going in blind.

I have had a thyroid & ECG test but both results came back fine.
I am going back to my GP today but to be honest I think shes baffled. Soon I am due to have a 24 hour ECG recording device attached to me, also I'm due to have a scan of my Urinary tract, where I will have dye injected into me. I also think that I can find movement in my colon for know reason & then I have wind immediately after, I don't remember ever having this before. All of my problems seem to start after having unprotected sex like 24hours later. I have had a full STI screening 3 times, they even done an NSU test & all results were negative. Do you think it could be still linked to an STI. The STI clinic told me if I came back again they wud have to refer me to GP for anxiety, but the only thing I'm anxious about is find out whats wrong with me. Please help me solve this mystery. Thanks
