Going thru all this too and 72 now on Estrial and is worse off and on UTI with 2 strains of bacteria.No antibiotic seems to help for long.

Relentless itching and burning vulva. Bath and cold compress helps temporarily. Felt stabbing pains in my vaginal lips for about 1 year but it was quickly gone and has stopped. Tried Premarin for sexual discomfort. Didn't work. Stopped having sex. This is horrible. I am 55. Need help!

Is this actually a yogurt...or a vitamin? If a yogurt, can it be purchased at a regular grocery store? Or do you buy this Kefir as a vitamin , or a drink from a health food store? Need more info...thanks!

I have had this condition for several years. The condition has been presented to 2 OB/gyms. Both never heard of such a thing. I have had biopsies, litmus tests, paps,, I have tried prescibed cortisone type creams, rinses for when bathing, but No Luck! It is constant vaginal and rectal burning, sometimes extreme and sometimes more tolerable. What is even more bizarre, the burning sensation is felt on my husband's private area during intercourse. We both went my doctor to verify this with him when he did not believe my husband actually felt it, too. Makes me believe it is something acidic going in my body.

I have chronic irritation in the same places. Hormone fluctuations in my body have an effect on my endometriosis. Endometriosis cells change and bleed and cause irritation to all of the tissue and organs surrounding it. My bladder has it, and areas near my bowel/colon. A hysterectomy does not typically resolve the disease since it grows on more than just uterus and ovaries. Consider getting testing for this.....No matter your age, you can carry the disease.

I am having my second bout with the burning in the vagina & rectum area.
Last year I saw 5 Obgyns & was in ER three times with no relief. It last 6 weeks& just went away on its own.
My new doctor ordered Sulfa drugs & after taking then for four days I do not feel much better. Seeing him again tomorrow. What next? Want to try going off my Estrace but want to check with my Gynecologist first. It could be the cause. Very aggravating.
How do you travel or plan vacations feeling like this.
Can't believe all that I have read online, as NOT ONE person was given a true diagnosis. What in the HECK is causing this burning????

Darn, I am NOT using another drop of my Estrace Vaginal cream. When I had this problem for 6 weeks last summer all the Gyno lady doctors kept telling me to keep using the Estrace. Probably made me worse.
No one At Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara ever came up with what it was, how to get rid of it & how tobprevent it. Going to the doctors tomorrow (just my GP), but will tell hom no more Estrogen creams for me. Will get in to see my OBGYN as soon as possible also. Thank You for all your info. I thought I was going crazy with this burning when 8 doctors can't tell you what it is.

Glad to read about all your unnecessary test as I was thinking that is what I had to do next. Burning for 6 weeks last year & now again. I am truly thinking it is the Estrace Cream I am using, even though they DO NOT list it as one of the side effects. Last year I saw 5 different Gyno doctors at Kaiser Hospital & they keep telling me to use the Estrace. They probably wete making me worse instead of better. Thank The Dear Lord, the internet & ladies like you all speaking up. God Bless you for making feel I am not alone, as I started to think I was imaging this burning...when the doctors are saying no infection & everything looks good down here.

I read what you had to say what had happened. I'd point a finger at the CIPROFLOXACIN. It's just another nasty Adverse Reaction to these KILLER ANTIBIOTICS! I'm battling the same as I write. It it severe at present. I have battled it for 10 YEARS! It is debilitating! I have had to experiment a lot to find relief because Docs know nothing.
