I have actually found a Dr. and a Physical Therapist who are helping me with the same symtoms you have. Dr. Rapkin at Univ of CA Los Angeles, is a gyn, and she diagnosed the problem as one steming from injury to the pudendal nerve (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pudendal_nerve). I was working under a deadline and for over a month, I was sitting at my computer for a minimum of 10 hours a day. I felt some discomfort then, but it grew stronger and stronger as the weeks passed. I went to 5 different doctors, from 2 different gyns to an allergist to . . . . No one had any idea about the pudendal nerve. I am being treated now by a physical therapisist at Women's Advantage. They have offices in Long Beach and Torrance, CA. I've been going to the Long Beach office (Dr. Quosette Valera about once a week for the last three months, and I honestly feel my life has been given back to me.

Yes, I have had MRIs as suggested by my MD. No probems there. I've had tests and scans for every possibility. No one in the medical field (either as a doctor or a therapist or even as a technician) ever suggested that the pudendal nerve might be injured. . .i never heard the word "pudendal" till I found Dr. Rapkin at UCLA and then Womens' Advantage. I know how you feel. It's so depressing and sometimes feels to hopeless. Perhaps if you enter "pudendal treatment" you can find a doctor near you. I have a constant burning in my vagina and especially after sex it is extremely painful. I have been to the doctors and they did all kinds of testing and came up with no answers. I have been researching like crazy and I found an article about a woman experiencing the same symptoms she was diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction. She mentioned trying to find a urogynocologist or a pelvic floor specialist.
