Hello ladies how are you? I want to tell you my story..... I was in the depot shot for like 4 months back in 2007 after the birth of my daughter. I had no menstrual while in the shot. But I got off the shot due to the side effects. That's when I noticed the burning, itching, raw feeling a week before, during, and after my menstrual. And boy did sex burn pike hell to the point that I wouldn't want sex... The burning feeling felt like someone poured gasoline on my vagina and set it on fire. I have been dealing with this for 8 long years... I've been to about 5 different OBGYN offices.... No one knew what this was. I even had 2 other babies and my body still had this issue. I was on the verge of giving up until my OBGYN said you know what I think it's hormonal... so she put me on estrogen cream 0.5 mg daily. Omg I forgot how good sex feels!!!!! Estrogen saved my sex life!!!!! No more burning before periods. I'm 2 months strong and if it worked for me hopefully it can work for you!!!!! Good luck baby I'm praying you find a solution.
I had the same issue for 8 years.... my doctor out me on estrogen and I am symptom free now!!! Hopefully you find the solution to your problem.
I have the same issue and it surprises me to see others are like this I have always had this issue and I'm 34 but what I have found to help a little sometimes alot I just drink alot of water no juice just plain water and it helps
Ive had this pretty much all of my 30s during pms about 5 days before whether Im on the pill or not & my dr had no clue. I have had infrequent yeast infections & BV & douche but not during these times. I also take probiotics.
What works for me believe it or not is drinking cranberry juice daily as well as taking probiotics. Doing both these things helped get rid of any burning. I guess it's an enzyme and ph balance issue for me.
Bravo! I just started having this problem two month ago. This is the best answer yet. I figured it may be hormonal related or a aign of a bad infection in my uterus or something. Thank you gor your comments.
Wow Ally. Why would low levels of eostrogen cause pain ?
I have had this problem for almost a year now. It only has during the two weeks before and a couple days after my period. When it first started I thought it was a yeast infection, so I went to see the doctor/had a paper smear and was treated for a yeast infection with Diflucan. It didn't help. I went back to get the results of the paper and was told I had beta strep B (which is usually found in pregnant women) and was given antibiotics for that (after demanding it). That didn't help either. That happened over three weekseparate during which time I went out of town and on the day of my return, my period started and I was fine until the two days after. It has been happening every since. I am making an appointment to see the gyn because this has been driving me crazy, in addition to the other pms bull I have to deal with. I had my last child May 2010 via c section and had my tubed tied immediately after. I will be 40 in December and all I want it all the period pms c**p to he over. I am going through it right now. The period before my period is two weeks of heartburn, headaches, gas, constipation, one sided cramping, nausea etc. I would wish for menopause but I heard it is just as bad. I guess I will just deal with cramp in my thigh that extends to my knee and hope it makes me stronger.

I had this same thing for a couple of years, throughout each period, as if the blood itself was burning its way out of me - it was all down to the birth control pill I was on - the first cycle I switched pills, it stopped. Good luck!
