hi. i'm 16 and i've been having a creamy, white discharge for awhile now. It makes my vagina itchy, and its red and irritated. It has a slight odor, but i'm self-conscious, so I feel like it is a heavy odor. It worries me. I don't know where it came from or why it's happening. I've never been to the OBGYN. I've never been sexually active at all. I'm also diabetic. Could any of this have something to do with it. I don't know why i'm getting this. I'm very nervous/scared to go to the gynecologist. Anyone know whats going on?
since you said you are not sexuality active i will suggest that you may have an infection down there go to a health care profession s/he will be able to give you some cream and some medication to stop the smell and the red and irritation it sounds like thrush .. my 8 year old daughter get it quiet often

if you can get to one soak a bath wit some baking soda or use some very natural unsweetened yogurt down there it will south the itch and cool it down as well till you can get there to a health care profession
this quote is from a web page i found on home remedies some will not apply as you are not sexually active

12. Food is one of the main triggers of thrush. Avoid dried fruits, dairy products, products with yeasts, mushrooms, pickled vegetables and fruits, monosodium glutamate and smoked fish and meat as these can trigger thrush. You can also try to follow a restricted diet for at least one month. The restricted diet can help you determine the particular foods that triggers thrush. You can then avoid these foods to avoid acquiring thrush.

13. Probiotic supplements that support friendly fungi in the gut such as acidophilus are also found to be effective in treating thrush.

14. If your thrush is persistent and does not respond to home remedies then you should begin to see a doctor. You should never ignore a persistent thrush infection. Or else it could lead to a much worse condition.
