I had a varicocelectomy procedure done ten days ago, and I have a few questions regarding the recovery and the results of the procedure.

First of all, I have noticed that there are still many large, varicose veins in my testicles, although perhaps not as plentiful as before. Shouldn't the procedure have eliminated the veins, or does it take time for them to go away?

Also, I have a question regarding the scar. I had an inguinal procedure, so the incision was made in my lower abdomen. The tissue around the scar juts out about a centimeter. Is this normal, and will this swelling go away even if it has already been ten days?
hey, I also had a varicocelectomy, and it's been ten days since... Everything you described sounds just like how i am right now. please let me know how you are doing now, as that will let me know if my recovery is as it should be.

I had a bilateral varicoselectomy done yesterday.  I haven'tbeen able to see swelling because I have on bandages, but I'm not in any pain because my doctor gave me pain killers (just a little discomfort standing and sitting).  Overall, I really can not complain.  My only hope is that my sperm count, motility and morphology improve.

I am going to see a urologist for varicocelectomy. What does post op recovery entail? Does this require a foley catheter before and after? How long is convalescence?

5 years ago I had varicocelectomy, and now I'm experiencing swelling, pain/discomfort, fluid discharge from the inguinal area. What has gone wrong? Please give me info.
