Since I was in 5th grade, Ive had my period. Its pretty consistent monthly, from 29-31 days lasting for up to an average of 8 days. Blood flow is also pretty regular, sometimes heavy. Im in high school, and a pure 100% virgin. My menstrual cramps are ruining my life, they are so painful! The pain is so excruciating from these cramps, in fact, that sometimes im not able to stand and cant move, feel very naucious. ..and on the worst days...even cry. So many times I have been out with my friends and have to immediately sit with tears in my eyes trying to bear the pain. I have begun to really educate myself on why this may happen: bloodclots. And I do get bloodclots a lot, and my cramps end for a bit when I can feel it passing (sorry to be gross!) Also, ive discovered many times that there are up to quarter sized tissue chunks...yuk! They look like flesh and are absolutely disgusting. Ive googled on what this may be, and all I find are miscarriages. This is impossible because ive never introduced myself down there to any semen or ever had sex. Why are my cramps to agonizingly painful? Why do I get fleshy chunks in my mentrual blood? I take midol which helps a bit, but what else is there for me? Ive thought about talking to my mom about birth control, but I really dont need it as I do not plan on having sex and I dont want tje side effects. Help!
I was not sexually active until I was 19. My gynecologist put me on birth control when I was 15 because my periods were so horrible. I made sure that my mother was with me during the entire exam (near my head) and the doctor explained, to both of us, why birth control was the best option for me. I talked to my mother about seeing a doctor for my painful periods; I suggest you do the same.
