I have experienced all the same symptoms as most of you on here, im very thin but with that big stomach. It actually started off my eating disorder coz i was terrified to eat coz i'd look about 3 month preg every time. I actually needed to wear a size bigger clothes if i was planning on eating. I was scared to go to the doctor because i thought they'd just say i was being silly. After reading all your comments on here and knowing its not just me, i went to see my doctor today, mine is all caused because of the way i hold my hips. (bad posture in that i stick my bum out and stomach forward) The bottom of my back is rounded and is pushing all my insides forward so when i eat the food has no where to go but outwards. It also means that the inside of my stomach muscles are really really weak because of it. It can be easily fixed as well with physio. All that pain and hiding my stomach with hoodies and baggy clothes and it can be easily fixed.... take some time to get used to it though. Hope you all find an answer because its been horrible for me to cope with. :-D xx

Im 18 too im 5'5 and i wiegh about 121. I can wake up in the morning and be a little slimmer then the day before. Then i go to eat and i try to eat a small meal but in the end the guts back! It pisses me off and iv had it since i was a little girl, and no matter how many stomach crunches, doing belly dances to work it out. It works to slim me down but when i eat just a simple small meal its back! Im thinking about not eating it a t all! Because i look so wierd because im skinny petite with barley any hips with this 4 month prego stomach poking out of me. I really cant stand it anymore! Iv been sucking it in but when i do my friend says i look like a skeleton because my ribs deffiningly show. I even sucked in when my bf wanted to have sex with me because i didnt want him to think i was fat. Its so embarrassing. I dont even feel comfortable wearing a bikini not only that my buts not small but my belly sure does make it look small. I feel sooo unatractive at time i just keep working out and dont want to stop because i want what ever looks like in my stomach out! Im not pregnant. I take birth control, but i know its not that because i had the same problem b4. All i want is a slim stomch and its so not fair to work so hard and in the end loose it because i ate.

trust me . as a male bodybuilder for the last 4 years it is belly fat and also weak core strength. weak core strength means that your abs wont hold your belly close to your spine,also the belly fat doest help needless to say.so what should you do.
1 do the ab vacum excersize 3rep try to hold for at least 30 sec
2 do an ab circuit workout,but remember the goal.CORE.do planks
3 don't eat to the point where you think u might explode.that stretches your gut
this might not help everyone,some people bellies are natural like this.check out Chuck Liddel.he is a very famous mixed martial artist
that trains and diets to make us cry to mama.even though he trains very hard he still has a belly.look him up!

I have the exact same problem. Im 14 years old, about 5ft tall and i weigh about 84 pounds. I'm size 00 or 0 and I'm considerbly skinny (not to brag). Every small meal or snack I eat, I get a huge stomach like I'm pregnant or something. I don't dare wear my t-shirts cause they are tightish, and if I wear it, people would see my pregnant looking stomache. It's so embarrassing and it makes me have a low self esteem. Especially after dinner, my stomach would go hugeee like I'm a couple months pregnant. Last year, my stomach wasn't like this though. It probably started around this year because I'm at my teen age where I'm insecure about everything.

I've been trying to do ab workouts but I don't think thats the solution. :\

edit: Continuin from what ive said earlier... Since I'm skinny, my breasts are quite small so if you imagine a skinny, 14 year old with a small chest and a huge stomach, that is just weird..

So I am reading through these post bc I have the same problem I am a tiny girl with a belly poof its not fat though. I had it when I was younger and again now, but for a brief period, like 3 or 4 yrs it was not like that. I hadnt been doing anything different so I am confused as to why it does that and if there is anything I can do to help it. I have tried doing abs and eating healthy but it doesnt help. I have read through all these post of problems similar but have not found any really direct answer or advice, just heard what hasnt worked? Anyone figure out what really does work??

Also same problem. 6'0 - 155 - tall and skinny - bigggg belly. i bought sea salt (real sea salt) and drank a lot with water...made me rush to the bathroom within minutes...soooo much water came out of my colon....stomach FLAT. it's something to do with our bodies holding water in the colon...I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!

nick is correct! its not just the visible abdominals we see that contributes to the problem. its more of the transversus abdominis muscle (inside your abs)... im 16, male, 9% bodyfat, with abs; but i still have an bloated gut after i eat. i dont think it is bodyfat at all.

Start to work out and stop dieting... start listening to your body, and start eating alot and start sleeping. Once you do all this you have given your body the tools to heal... You must eat and eat from all food groups...
I was malnourished and had a stomach which looked as if i was 3 months pregnant maybe more... I just started eating like i did when i was a kid, fries pizza chicken everything ice cream didnt matter. I put on weight but my stomach got smaller... and i did this while working out with weights.. all this and i wasnt even doing any cardio which i plan to start soon... Work out your TVA in your stomach and oh yea i felt alot more full of energy though at first i was more tired cause my body was not used to the foods i started to eat again and the amounts i was eating...
