My derm gave me vitamin A gel to put on my face after the treatment each day. She said that is a chip and that makes miracles for my acne. Well, I’ve heard that it can be toxic and I don’t find it very chip. So, can anyone help me with vitamin A issue?
Large quantities of vitamin A for acne have been used successfully to treat acne, but taking vitamin A for acne at high levels can be quite toxic. So, vitamin A is not a recommended as a casual vitamin for acne and should be taken only under the supervision of a health professional. With normal vitamin A acne treatment, the acne will return several months after you stop taking this vitamin. Vitamin A for acne is more effective and permanent when utilized as derivative forms, such as Retin-A. I am not sure if it is chip or makes miracles but I think that is safe.
