Also, is it more of a risk for me to get pregnant due to me being overweight? I have heard people over 155 have a greater chance of getting pregnant.

TECHNICALLY you are protected after the FIRST 7 days of pill use on the FIRST pack, and then you are protected without delay as long as you take your pill everyday.
