Hi Dark red! I have a question for you or Healthfitness guy.
Ok, so I'm doing great and joined back up at the gym because I missed my beloved hobby of playing racquetball. First of all it felt fantastic! You know what I've been going through with all my health issues, so you can understand what a big step this is for me!
So anyways, here's my question: I played first game on Sat. for 45min.(extreme playing), and on Sunday, when I got out of bed, my right heal hurt to step on it. As the hour progressed, and I kept walking on it, it got to the point of no pain at all. Yesterday, I played again, extremely vigorously, for about two hours. When I quit (and only because they were closing), and got home, my right heel started hurting again. This morning once again, I couldn't walk on it without pain, but after a couple of hours it has subsided to feeling like a bruise. Actually, maybe that's what it is, a bruise. Because when the sales person first showed me the courts, and told me the floor was better to play in than where I used to go, I jumped on it really hard. So if I bruised it, then would it make sense that it would hurt after extreme playing, betime rest, then really bad in the morning, then after some moderate blood flow from walking around, it would start to feel better? Give me your opinion.
I don't think its a big deal, and I'm not whining or anything, but since I'm on Horomone therapy right now, I have to watch out for blood clots in my legs. My husband said I should get it checked, but as you know, this is nothing compared to what I've been through and I REALLY don't want to go to the doctors for ANYTHING ELSE! Besides, its only been two days.
Another possibility is maybe this new gym DOESN'T have a better floor than the other one, or maybe I just need a desent pair of tennis shoes.
What do you think? Wendy

Well, I think I know the problem! Yep, I figured it out all by my itsy bitsy self. No doctors yet, It just needs time to heal on its own, however, It will take a while because I'm still going to play!
Here's what I found in case anyones interested:
Signs & Symptoms
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Plantar fasciitis, the most common cause of heel pain, may have several different clinical presentations. Although pain may occur along the entire course of the plantar fascia, it is usually described as pain in the heel that occurs when taking the first few steps in the morning, with the symptoms lessening as walking continues. The pain is localized to an area that the examiner identifies as the medial calcaneal tubercle near the inside of the foot where the heel and arch meet. This bony prominence serves as the point of origin of the anatomic central band of the plantar fascia and three muscles between the heel and forefoot. The pain is located here since the weakest point of the plantar fascia is at its origin on this tubercle.
So............ I need to get better shoes with great padding and try not to jump so much while playing.

Hi onefuschiarose (I haven't used your user name in a long time :-) ),
I didn't know that you play racquetball, I thought it was just paintball. :-) Just kidding.
Good that you gave us this info that you found. How's the leg? Any better?

Hi watchtowerkid,
This is a good tempo. If you ask me I think this is the best for your body. Not too much, not too little. Your body has time to rest and to get ready for next set of exercise.
I was wondering also if you maybe run or ride a bicycle?

Yes you are right, shoulders do tend to get sore. :-)
I personally like this one: https://www.steadyhealth.com/videos/Chest_Exercises_With_Dumbbells_for_Men_v43.html
It is great for chest. It is not easy to do either, because you get weight almost under your head and than you have to bring it back up.
Have you tried this one?
