I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypoplasia and Dextrocardia when I was 3 months old following an episode of Heamoptysis. Life since childhood had been very difficult as most of the time I was bedridden due to reccurent chest infection. I am 27 now and am a practising Psychologist. With time problems have increased, and now I am also suffering from severe Asthma, Hypothyroidism as well as Rheumatoid Arthritis. RA was diagnosed when I was 15, although now it is managed very effectively.I also have a very weak muscle strength and even doing simple works triggers a sharp pain in the arms or walking half a kilometer initiates cramps in the legs. The pain at times becomes severe and I need to depend on Paracetamol for reducing it since painkillkers are not allowed by my doctors. Moreover, at times I experience an intense pain on the right side of the back towards the sides as well especially while getting up in the morning. The pain is so intense to stop me from coming out of the bed till somebody maybe massages the area. I am sure, it is not a muscle or joint pain as I feel it to be somewhere from very deep within. I have asked my doctor many times but even he seems clueless as to why it happens.Last, doctors have even found a very mild level of right Pulmonary Artery Hypertension. Since then things have been more difficult. Laughing, crying or even emotional rise is triggering a sharp pain in the chest and also the place exactly parallel in the back which makes in breathing difficult.Does being overweight trigger all these problems and even others more? I am on the border of the upper side of BMI. Though I want to lose weight but vigorous exercise is not possible, neither is cutting down on food. Earlier I used to dance, even I find that difficult now. I am very worried as to where things are going and how much worse could it be. Moreover, I would like to know if anybody experiences similar problems or symptoms.
