This very thing just happened to me and in the same place. I picked at it too. I small amount of pus came out so I went to the Dr. They cultured it b/c it looked like MRSA. Thank God it wasn't but it was a staph infection and I was put on antibiotics. I also had to put an ointment on called Bactroban. It got smaller from the antibiotics but it was a clear hard cyst. I've been getting these from what I think are hormones. They do not go away unless they are removed.
Ive had the medication for staph...Bactrim and the cream mupicron. I put the cream on my cyst that that was huge beside my nose hard and very painful but it made it peel alot and dry my skin out. I stopped using it wasnt sure if i need to keep putting it on my face.
Cystic acne can be caused by many things. Hormones, stress, food you eat or drink such as any dairy or to much sugar. Also, if you have sensitive skin like myself harsh cleaners like proactive can make me get them as well. I have had them off and on for the past few year and they do go away yes even scars. Not sure about others but mine do fade since the skin constantly sheds on the face.. I've noticed if I workout, eat a lot better and drink more water it definitely helps.
See a dermatologist. Take advice from nobody else. There are ways.
How do you get rid of a cyst? Can you do it with a chemical or need a doc to do it, because it's very embarrassing?
