Cervicitis is caused by some sort of infection. Three most common causes of cervicitis are chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomonas. Besides that number of other organisms, such as including herpes simplex, streptococcus, staphylococcus, enterococcus, and Gardnerella vaginalis can also cause cervicitis.
