Yes!, I have this exact issue! This is the second time it's happened, with the 1st being a month ago. It resolved itself in time, the pain dissipated as quick as it came after about 5 days of debilitating pain. Almost couldn't walk or get in and out of my car it was so painful. There is no injury or bruising at the site the seems to be caused by or triggered by pressure in a certain spot while sleeping and once it flares up you wake up with extreme pain & seem to have no choice but to wait it out. I didn't know if this is sciatica related or what. I wish I knew a cause and remedy for the situation so to avoid it in the future. I would compare the pain to extreme back pain and it gets bad enough where you might drop and can't function with daily activities. It's painful just to sleep at night no matter what position. I hope you're able to feel back to normal soon!

Be great to hear any feedback from anyone in the medical profession or anyone that seen a doctor about this.

Tailbone pain, also known as coccydynia, can have several possible causes even in the absence of an obvious injury or bruising at the site. Here are some possible causes:

  1. Prolonged sitting: Sitting for long periods can put pressure on the tailbone and lead to discomfort and pain.

  2. Poor posture: Slouching or sitting with poor posture can also put pressure on the tailbone and cause pain.

  3. Inflammation: Inflammation in the tissues around the tailbone, such as the ligaments or muscles, can cause pain.

  4. Infection: In rare cases, an infection in the area around the tailbone can cause pain.

  5. Spinal conditions: Conditions such as degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, or spinal stenosis can cause pain in the tailbone.

  6. Trauma to nearby areas: Trauma or injury to the pelvic area or lower back can cause referred pain to the tailbone.

Can anything of this apply to your case?
