Ive experienced this exactly, It all started when I was about 9 years old in the winter time. Ive been to plenty of doctors and hey all think it might be an allergic reaction, but I'm now 20 and nothing has changed, I have not been able to figure out exactly what triggers it which is very frustrating, as a child my mom would tell me to put my hands and feet in vinegar to ease the itching which wouldn't always work. I've been prescribed about 3 or 4 different creams which never seemed to help with the swelling or itchiness. it usually starts to creep up during the fall and during very cold weather is when it flares up completely, I have trouble bending my fingers and the itching becomes completely unbearable, This also happens with my toes, the more i scratch the worse it gets! Ive had enough and just want to be diagnosed which lead me to this thread. I thought I was the only one but am more at ease knowing its more common than I thought. Im just so curious on way doctors have such a difficult time diagnosing this?? Every doctor I went to would tell me well I have to see it when its at its worst but by the time the appointment comes around its gone! this is absolutely FRUSTRATING!
